The Marvel and DC Universes both have amazing heroes, but it’s interesting to consider which heroes might fit better in the other universe. While some people see them as similar, they actually have pretty different atmospheres. Marvel tends to focus on science and big ideas, while DC leans more towards magic and relatable human stories. Both universes have elements of both, but you can definitely feel a difference in their overall tone.
It’s interesting to consider which Marvel heroes would fit well in the DC Universe. While it’s impossible to know for sure, it’s a fun idea to explore. I believe many Marvel heroes would actually do very well. For example, Spider-Man would likely become as popular as Superman, and Doctor Strange would find a good fit with DC’s magical characters. Here are 7 Marvel icons I think would thrive in the DC Universe.
7. Jessica Jones
The DC Universe already boasts fantastic detectives like Batman, the Question, Elongated Man, and Detective Chimp. I believe a character like Jones would be a great addition. While she’s a bit rough around the edges – and understandably so – her skills would be right at home in cities like Gotham or Blüdhaven. Plus, her powerful abilities would give her an edge when tackling mysteries that require more than typical street-level detective work. Overall, I think Jones would seamlessly integrate into the DC Universe.
6. Moon Knight
Moon Knight is a compelling street-level hero, similar to Batman and Green Arrow, though his extremely violent approach would likely cause conflict with them. However, I believe Marc Spector would flourish in the DC Universe. His connection to the Egyptian god Khonshu could lead him to investigate the strange and unusual aspects of the DCU, much like characters such as Swamp Thing or the Doom Patrol. He’s definitely a unique character, and he’d probably fit right into DC’s quirky world.
5. Captain America
Captain America is incredibly popular in the Marvel Universe, and I believe he’d be just as beloved in the DC Universe. His experience in World War II would make him a great fit with the Justice Society, but he’d also be a strong leader for the Justice League – arguably the best Marvel hero to potentially lead them. He’s a universally likable hero, and I’m confident the DC Universe would happily welcome him.
4. Iron Man
Even though Iron Man seems perfectly suited for the Marvel universe, I think he’d actually thrive in the DC universe too. DC already has a lot of brilliant heroes like Batman and Mister Terrific, and cunning villains like the Riddler and Lex Luthor. Adding another genius – especially one with a sharp wit – would be a great fit, and it would be fascinating to see how he stacks up against DC’s best minds. Plus, imagining the clash between Iron Man’s ego and Batman’s personality would be incredibly entertaining!
3. Daredevil
I’ve often talked about how well DC Comics’ grounded, street-level heroes work, and Daredevil would fit right in. The Bat-Family has really flourished in Gotham, and Team Arrow has made a real difference in Star City. Daredevil could have a similar positive impact in the DC Universe. Unlike the often-grim Marvel Universe, the DC Universe offers a setting where Matt Murdock could find some happiness and maybe even build a life for himself, perhaps even starting a family.
2. Doctor Strange
The DC Universe is full of powerful magic users, like Zatanna and Constantine, and the heroes of Justice League Dark. It’s easy to imagine Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, fitting right in and becoming a major player. He’d likely be fascinated by the unique magic of the DC Universe and could even become a more prominent defender of order than Doctor Fate. In fact, he might end up leading Justice League Dark if he believed he could best utilize his skills there.
1. Spider-Man
Spider-Man often doesn’t get the recognition he deserves in the Marvel Universe, especially with the negative press from The Daily Bugle. However, I believe he’d be much more appreciated in the DC Universe. DC’s citizens really value heroes, and I think they’d see Spider-Man as one of their best. He’d also be a valuable member of the Justice League, both for his heroic abilities and as a true symbol of heroism.
