With the release of Avengers: Doomsday getting closer, more information about the movie is being revealed. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become popular because of its interconnected stories, and the biggest hits are usually those that bring together many characters and storylines. Since 2019, the MCU films have all been leading up to a major finale: a two-part crossover event that concludes the Multiverse Saga. The movie will feature multiple universes colliding, making it one of the most ambitious and largest-scale projects in MCU history, and it already boasts a massive cast.
Though not all Marvel Cinematic Universe characters are confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday yet, a lot of major heroes will be appearing. The movie will bring back characters from across the MCU, including those originally from the X-Men films and others who’ve briefly appeared in recent Marvel multiverse stories. Several of the announced cast members are particularly powerful, promising some truly impressive characters in Avengers: Doomsday.
7) Shang-Chi

Fans are excited to see Shang-Chi back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially with rumors he’ll be a major player in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. After making a strong first impression, Shang-Chi is now even more powerful thanks to the Ten Rings. Though the full extent of their abilities is still unknown, the Ten Rings are believed to be some of the most potent artifacts in the MCU, making Shang-Chi a formidable addition to the team.
6) Sue Storm / The Invisible Woman

Earth-828, first seen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is another universe set to appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. While several powerful characters from that universe will be featured, the Invisible Woman (Sue Storm) is currently confirmed as the strongest. Her powers have already been showcased in the MCU as incredibly potent – she’s capable of hiding entire spaceships and even physically moving Galactus.
5) Professor X

Among the X-Men characters set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, Professor X stands out as particularly powerful. Charles Xavier, a remarkably strong telepath, will be played once again by Patrick Stewart, who previously portrayed the mutant leader in the X-Men films for Fox. Following a cameo in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Professor X is confirmed for the upcoming MCU movie, and his leadership skills combined with his telepathic abilities make him one of the most formidable heroes confirmed to appear in Doomsday.
4) Thor

Over the years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has introduced many gods and god-like characters, but Thor stands out as the most prominent. As a central figure in every Avengers film, he’s both incredibly powerful and essential to the MCU’s story. Thor’s abilities come from his Asgardian heritage and the powerful weapons he wields, making him a key player who will likely be very important in Avengers: Doomsday.
3) Doctor Doom

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about Doctor Doom finally joining the MCU! Everything points to him being a major force in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday – they’re setting him up as the big bad, and his comic book powers are seriously impressive. Plus, the news that Robert Downey Jr. is coming back to play a key, powerful character in Doomsday just adds to the anticipation. It sounds like he’s going to be a really formidable opponent!
2) Loki

Loki has evolved significantly within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting as a villain, then becoming a complex anti-hero, and ultimately proving himself a selfless hero by sacrificing himself to save the Multiverse. Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of the character, formerly known as the God of Mischief, has made Loki a beloved figure among fans. He’s now known as the God of Stories, and his ability to manipulate the realities of the Multiverse makes him one of the MCU’s most powerful beings as he prepares to return in Avengers: Doomsday.
1) Sentry

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve been really paying attention to how Thunderbolts is building towards Avengers: Doomsday, and it’s clear they’re setting things up in a big way – especially with the return of Sentry. He made a really strong first impression, and honestly, he’s basically Marvel’s version of Superman! His powers are just off the charts, making him an incredibly powerful force. He’s already shaping up to be one of the most formidable heroes we’ll see in Doomsday, and I’m excited to see what he can do.
