Formed in 1960, the Justice League defends the world against DC Comics’ most dangerous supervillains. Many of the League’s female enemies aren’t just a threat to Earth – their incredible power could destroy the entire multiverse. These women, ranging from alien invaders to all-powerful goddesses, represent some of the biggest challenges the Justice League has ever faced. Whenever they appear, causing widespread destruction, the League must fight desperately to stop their plans for universal domination.
I’ve seen some female villains who are unbelievably powerful. Seriously, even beings who are practically gods – like Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor – seem genuinely afraid of them. It’s amazing and a little terrifying to witness!
7. Queen Bee

Zazzala, known as Queen Bee, is a dangerous galactic conqueror who leads a fleet of warships in taking over planets. Even without her army, she’s a formidable opponent for the Justice League, boasting powerful abilities like hypnotic pollen that can control large groups of people and telepathic control over bees. She’s physically strong enough to fight characters like Wonder Woman and Big Barda. Furthermore, Queen Bee has wrist-mounted stinger guns that deliver a potent venom capable of paralyzing – and even killing – her enemies, as demonstrated when she paralyzed both Big Barda and Plastic Man. Though not always a fan favorite, Queen Bee remains one of the most powerful rulers in the galaxy.
6. The Drowned

Bryce Wayne, also known as the Drowned, is a villainous counterpart to Batman from an alternate reality. Originating from Earth-11, she eliminated all super-powered individuals on land before setting her sights on Atlantis. To conquer the underwater kingdom, she modified her own body with Atlantean traits, gaining powers similar to Aquaman – including incredible strength, the ability to breathe underwater, and control over storms. The Drowned can also use telepathy to corrupt marine life, transforming them into terrifying creatures. Armed with a trident, she flooded her world and filled it with a monstrous fleet of aquatic beings called the Deadwaters. During an invasion of other universes, she battled Aquaman and Mera, almost killing the King of Atlantis.
5. Superwoman

The Crime Syndicate, a villainous team from another Earth, is the evil opposite of the Justice League. Their version of Wonder Woman is Lois Lane, known as Superwoman. Superwoman is one of the Crime Syndicate’s most powerful and cruel members, enjoying the torture of others with her incredible Amazonian strength. She’s powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with DC’s strongest heroes, like Wonder Woman, Black Adam, and even alternate versions of Superman. Unlike other Amazons, Superwoman also has heat vision capable of instantly destroying people. Like Wonder Woman, she uses a special lasso, but hers—the Lasso of Submission—is barbed and allows her to control the minds of those she captures.
4. Brainiac Queen

Similar to the tale of Frankenstein, the villain Brainiac created a partner for himself. This Brainiac Queen immediately proved her power by quickly defeating an entire army of Czarians – a strong, Kryptonian-level species also known as Lobo’s people. After crashing on Earth, she lost her memory, and Amanda Waller exploited this, using the android to eliminate metahumans. The Brainiac Queen became a major weapon for Waller, capable of controlling global media, instantly healing from damage, and even creating red sunlight to weaken Superman. But her most frightening power is the ability to turn people into obedient cyborgs – as she did to Jon Kent – by infecting them with cybernetic technology.
3. Grail

Grail, the daughter of Darkseid and a trained Amazonian assassin, is incredibly powerful – one of the strongest beings on Earth. While attempting to defeat both Darkseid and the Justice League, she demonstrated terrifying abilities. She seriously injured Wonder Woman, gravely wounded Shazam with her weapon, and hit with such force that the impact echoed for miles. Like her father, she possesses devastating heat vision, capable of instantly vaporizing opponents and shattering even the most durable defenses. Beyond physical strength, Grail is a skilled magic user, able to teleport across dimensions, weaken the willpower of Green Lanterns, and even resurrect Darkseid, turning him into a controllable pawn. She clearly inherited her father’s immense power and ruthless nature.
2. Perpetua

Perpetua is an unbelievably powerful being, one of the Hands – a race capable of creating entire universes. She originally built the vast DC Multiverse, but then turned it into a weapon against her own kind. Even incredibly powerful villains like the Anti-Monitor are no match for her. After escaping from imprisonment, Perpetua aimed to reshape the Multiverse to fit her original vision, systematically destroying universes and causing immense loss of life. She wields absolute control over the laws of reality, easily manipulating planets and constantly forging and destroying galaxies. Her conflict with the Darkest Knight put all of existence at risk. Perpetua’s power is so immense that even other gods can’t fully grasp its scale.
1. Pralaya

While Perpetua might have built the DC Multiverse, Pralaya is the living representation of the nothingness that existed before it. A foe of the Justice League Dark, she started her attack by unleashing hordes of terrifying creatures called Time-Gremlins, which destroyed entire universes. Her intelligence is said to be far greater than the Green, the force connecting all plant life throughout the multiverse. And like a being from a Lovecraftian horror story, simply seeing her true form can drive people insane. At her most powerful, Pralaya devoured time, space, and all realities, killing almost every living thing, including both ordinary people and all-powerful gods. Her immense power even posed a threat to The Presence, the supreme God and most powerful being in the DC Universe.
