The popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia has come to an end, with the anime’s final episodes airing this month. Since its debut in 2016, the series has been a significant presence in the anime world, consistently releasing new seasons and movies. The conclusion was emotional for fans, wrapping up the intense final battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. This conflict caused widespread damage and many losses in Japan, but the heroes ultimately prevailed, bringing peace back to the country.
When the country was first devastated by war, many heroes were killed or stepped down, creating a significant gap in the hero community. Following the final war, students from U.A. High and other schools graduated and dedicated themselves to protecting people. Many of them went on to become some of the nation’s most celebrated heroes.
7) Tamaki Amajiki (Suneater)

Tamaki possesses a remarkably adaptable and powerful quirk, but his biggest weakness is his self-doubt. This hasn’t stopped him from becoming one of U.A. High’s top students, though. His quirk lets him transform parts of his body to mimic the properties of anything he’s eaten, as long as it’s still being digested, giving him a huge range of abilities.
6) Fumikage Tokoyami (Tsukuyomi)

Tokoyami is a highly skilled student at U.A. High, benefiting from direct training with the hero Hawks. His unique quirk, Dark Shadow, isn’t just a power source—it’s a reliable partner that helps him move and fight. Dark Shadow’s strength depends on the surroundings; it’s weaker in bright light but incredibly powerful in darkness, making Tokoyami a formidable opponent in shadowy environments.
5) Rumi Usagiyama (Mirko)

Mirko is renowned as one of Japan’s most powerful heroes. Even after losing an arm and a leg in the final war, she continued her work as an active hero. Advanced prosthetic limbs ensured her strength wasn’t diminished. While many top heroes depend on spectacular abilities, Mirko relies on raw power and incredible speed, essentially perfecting the abilities of a rabbit on a much grander scale.
4) Mirio Togata (Lemillion)

A new book about My Hero Academia reveals that Mirio became Japan’s number one hero, just as his mentor, Sir Nighteye, predicted. But his success wasn’t due to his Quirk; it was the result of intense training and unwavering commitment. Even after temporarily losing his Quirk in Season 4, he came back even stronger during the Paranormal Liberation War, ready to support his friends and the pro heroes.
3) Katsuki Bakugo (Dynamite)

Bakugo and Shoto are both incredibly strong, and could be evenly matched, though Shoto has a slight edge in overall power. However, Bakugo is faster and more agile, making his abilities surprisingly adaptable. During the final battle, he reached a new level with his quirk while nearly defeated. He unleashed a barrage of concentrated, devastating explosions and moved so quickly that he visibly shook Shigaraki.
2) Shoto Todoroki (Shoto)

From the start, Shoto possessed a natural talent that surpassed his classmates. Through dedicated training and mastering his Quirk, he rose to become one of the nation’s top heroes. His ability to control both ice and fire isn’t just powerful – the ice side effectively cancels out the drawbacks of his fire, and he can use it to immobilize opponents by freezing them or their surroundings. During the final war, he developed a technique called Phosphor, which allowed him to perfectly balance his ice and fire, dramatically increasing his overall strength. In terms of sheer power, he rivaled even the most formidable heroes.
1) Izuku Midoriya (Deku)

It’s still unclear exactly how strong Deku is now that he’s lost his quirk, but his new suit lets him use the powers of all the previous One For All users, so he should still be very powerful. Becoming a pro hero without a quirk is a huge achievement, and it highlights his natural abilities, heroic spirit, and deep understanding of quirks – things he developed independently of One For All.
