Both Batman and Spider-Man are known for their impressive groups of villains. They mostly battle costumed supervillains with dangerous weapons, but Spider-Man’s enemies tend to be more powerful and destructive. Despite this, Batman is capable of taking on and defeating even those super-powered foes. He uses his exceptional intelligence, strong will, advanced technology, and skills in martial arts to overcome any challenge, making him a match for some of Spider-Man’s most famous adversaries.
Batman and Spider-Man are both incredibly popular superheroes from DC and Marvel, and they’ve sometimes teamed up in stories. If Batman ever found himself fighting in Marvel’s New York City again, here’s a look at some of Spider-Man’s famous villains he could defeat without needing to prepare beforehand.
7) Vulture

At first, the Vulture’s wings would give him an edge in a fight, allowing him to fly while Batman can’t. However, Batman has defeated flying villains like Man-Bat and Firefly before. He typically uses his grappling hook to bring them down, and he’d likely do the same to the Vulture. Even though some versions of the Vulture’s suit make him super strong and give him sharp wings, Batman is a much better fighter. He could either use his gadgets or target pressure points to quickly defeat the Vulture.
6) Mysterio

Mysterio is an expert at creating illusions, using holograms, drugs, and hypnosis to make heroes doubt what’s real. But Batman has faced similar mental attacks from villains like Scarecrow and Poison Ivy, giving him a strong defense. His suit includes protections against drugs and mind control, and he’s even resisted Scarecrow’s powerful fear toxin – a toxin strong enough to affect even Swamp Thing! Plus, Batman’s incredible detective skills allow him to quickly separate illusion from reality. Without his illusions, Mysterio wouldn’t stand a chance against Batman.
5) Doctor Octopus

Doctor Octopus is a formidable foe with incredibly strong, metallic arms that could easily overpower Batman if he got close. However, Batman’s agility and skill at staying hidden would allow him to avoid those dangerous arms – he’s so stealthy, even Superman has trouble finding him! Batman could use tools like flashbangs and smoke bombs to confuse Doc Ock, creating an opening for attack. He’s also a brilliant detective, able to quickly identify weaknesses in Doc Ock’s equipment, specifically the connections for his robotic arms. By targeting those weak points, Batman could disable the arms, leaving Doc Ock defenseless and vulnerable to a knockout punch.
4) Kraven the Hunter

Kraven is a highly skilled hunter who often targets heroes with animal-based abilities, and he’d see Batman as a formidable opponent. Both Kraven and Batman are masters of martial arts, weapons, and tracking, and Kraven also has enhanced strength and agility. Batman is used to fighting powerful, skilled opponents like Deathstroke and Bane, who are similar to Kraven in terms of strength and ability. As one of DC Comics’ best martial artists, Batman could disable Kraven by precisely targeting his pressure points. However, Batman’s best chance of winning would be to use his advanced technology – things like explosive batarangs, flashbangs, shock gloves, and the Batmobile – to overpower Kraven.
3) Electro

Electro’s powerful electrical blasts could definitely cause serious damage, even to buildings, making him a dangerous opponent for Batman. However, Batman has defenses against this kind of attack. His suit is heavily insulated – even Batgirl’s suit can withstand blasts strong enough to injure Superman, so it should hold up against Electro’s attacks. More importantly, Electro isn’t very bright and is often defeated by heroes who are less powerful than him, like Daredevil and the Punisher. Batman could likely win by staying hidden, using his gadgets – like explosive or freezing Batarangs – to disable Electro.
2) Rhino

Rhino is incredibly strong – he can even overpower a speeding train and fight characters like the Thing and the Hulk. However, he’s not very intelligent, which Batman can exploit. Batman’s quick reflexes would allow him to dodge Rhino’s powerful attacks and target his vulnerabilities. Daredevil successfully defeated Rhino by using his own strength against him, and Batman could do the same. Plus, Batman’s knockout gas would quickly incapacitate Rhino. As long as Batman avoids getting caught in Rhino’s grip, he has a good chance of winning.
1) Sandman

Sandman is a nearly unstoppable villain – a living sandstorm who can become incredibly large and change his shape. Defeating him would require everything Batman has. While Sandman is much stronger than Clayface, he shares similar vulnerabilities to extreme temperatures. However, Sandman isn’t very intelligent, making him susceptible to Batman’s traps. Once trapped, Batman could use tools like freeze bombs, explosive batarangs, and the Batmobile or Batwing’s missiles to dismantle and stop him. Crucially, Sandman’s life force is contained within a single grain of sand that controls his entire form. Because Batman’s cowl can scan at a cellular level, he could potentially locate this crucial grain and use his weaponry to defeat Sandman.
