7 Upcoming Sci-Fi Movies That Could Be Masterpieces

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s upcoming film, The Bride!, which she wrote, co-produced, and directed, is a fresh take on the classic Frankenstein story. 4) I Love Boosters (May 22, 2026)

Boots Riley, the director known for his acclaimed 2018 film Sorry to Bother You, is returning to theaters in 2026 with a new sci-fi comedy called I Love Boosters. The film is being financed by Neon, the company behind hits like Parasite and Anatomy of a Fall, and has a strong cast including Demi Moore, LaKeith Stanfield, Keke Palmer, Will Poulter, Naomi Ackie, and Eiza González.
