As January 2026 ends, Shueisha has already made significant changes to both Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and the Shonen Jump+ digital platform. While Shonen Jump+ features many different series, Weekly Shonen Jump has a smaller selection. Unfortunately, many series published in Weekly Shonen Jump don’t gain enough popularity and are cancelled. These underperforming titles take up valuable space and cost the publisher money when printed, leading to sudden cancellations or, in some cases, natural endings.
Eight different manga series from Shonen Jump concluded this month, with only one finishing its run naturally instead of being cancelled. As anticipated, most of these series came from the Shonen Jump+ digital platform, while just two were published in the weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
8) Otr of the Flame

I’m so excited about this story! It takes place in a world locked in a never-ending winter, ever since the Ice Kingdom took over. You follow Otr, a really sweet kid who just wants to be a warrior like his dad. He’s stuck working as a cook and keeping the fires lit, but everything changes when the Ice Kingdom’s demonic army attacks his fortress! When the flames – and everything he cares about – are threatened, he discovers an incredible power within himself, and it sends him on an epic adventure filled with both fire and ice. It’s going to be amazing!
7) One Piece in Love

This funny series, created by Daiki Ihara as a side story to Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, follows three high school students with names similar to characters from the Straw Hat Pirates. One of them is a big One Piece fan, and together they start a club dedicated to the manga, experiencing new stories with each installment. After eight years, the series recently finished.
6) Harukaze Mound

This sports manga, created by Togo Goto and illustrated by Kento Matsuura, tells the story of twin brothers, Aokaze and Nagiharu Kuzumi. Inspired by a baseball game they watched together, both dreamed of becoming players. By the time they reach the third year of middle school, Aokaze is a naturally gifted athlete, while Nagiharu mostly warms the bench. Feeling overshadowed by his brother, Nagiharu finds motivation to pursue his own baseball ambitions after a chance encounter with a dedicated catcher.
5) Ryota Killed His Brother

Ryota has raised his younger brother, Chika, from infancy, as their mother passed away during childbirth and their father is constantly working. He quickly discovers that caring for a baby is more challenging than he expected, and a disturbing secret surrounding Chika begins to emerge.
4) G.G.G.

Pete goes undercover as a caregiver in a nursing home with a dangerous mission: to kill Omega, a famous retired hitman. Pete hopes this assignment will earn him full membership in the mafia. But when Pete’s boss reveals his true, ruthless nature, Omega steps in to protect him. The two then team up to defend the nursing home and its residents from a new wave of incoming assassins.
3) Eunuch of Empire

This historical drama takes place in a powerful empire famous for collecting treasures from around the world. Jafar, a young man castrated and forced into service, finds work in the palace library because he can read and write multiple languages. Through an unusual turn of events, he’s transferred to the harem—a place exclusively for women and eunuchs. There, he encounters a mysterious woman, rumored to be a ghost, and her sisters. As he continues his duties in the harem, Jafar doesn’t realize this strange meeting will eventually threaten the entire empire.
2) Re/Member: The Last Night

This horror manga continues the story of Welzard’s web novel, Karada Sagashi, originally published in 8 volumes between 2013 and 2015. It picks up right after the events of both the original novel and the 2022 Netflix movie, Re/Member. The story follows a group of students who become stuck in a time loop after hosting a haunted house at their school festival, and they soon realize they’re facing a terrifying threat.
1) Blood Wing Hunter

I’ve been following the story of Hikari Akashi, and his life changed forever five years ago when angels attacked, killing 256 people – including his little sister – and injuring over a thousand more. Since then, angels have been appearing more and more, and they always seem to target innocent people. Regular humans don’t stand a chance against them, but there’s a special group of hunters within something called the Black Umbrella Covenant, run by the Angel Hunting Association, who try to take them down. Hikari is one of those hunters, and he’s specifically searching for a fifth angel involved in that original, terrible attack – an angel that doesn’t even appear in any official records.
