With over 1100 episodes, *One Piece* is a truly long-running anime, and unfortunately, you can’t find all of them on streaming services. The story is now in its final stretch, currently focused on the Egghead Incident Arc, where the Straw Hat crew encounters Vegapunk and becomes involved in an attempt on his life. They’re working hard to keep Vegapunk safe, but the World Government is sending its strongest warriors to stop them. Since 2020, Netflix has been releasing the series in seasons, grouping episodes into arcs, but currently only has around 750 episodes available.
According to What’s On Netflix, the Zou Arc of the anime will be available on October 1, 2025 – over nine years after it first aired. This arc includes episodes 751 through 779 and will be released in three parts. While not officially confirmed, it’s likely Netflix will release all episodes of the arc at the same time, based on their past releases. After the Zou Arc, the story continues with the Whole Cake Island Arc, which is a very long story segment spanning episodes 783 to 877. Netflix hasn’t announced a release date for the Whole Cake Island Arc yet, but it could be another six months or more before it’s available to stream.
What Happens in One Piece’s Zou Arc?
The story unfolds on a peculiar island – it’s actually built on the back of a massive elephant! After being scattered during the events at Dressrosa, the Straw Hat pirates are aiming to regroup on this island, called Zou, before continuing their journey to Wano to challenge Kaido. Luffy and his allies are joined by Law, who also hopes to reconnect with his own crew after a long separation.
No one expected to find the Mink Tribe’s island in such a terrible condition, especially since they were known as a peaceful and friendly people. The destruction was caused by one of Kaido’s powerful subordinates, and to make things even worse, a member of the Straw Hat crew is unaccounted for. While this story arc is shorter than most, that’s not the only reason it often gets overlooked.
The Zou Arc isn’t focused on big battles or a central villain; it’s designed to be an exciting exploration. It mainly reveals details about the Mink Tribe and the Kozuki Clan, and advances Luffy’s crew in their quest for the legendary treasure. After Zou, the crew splits up. Luffy and some of his members head to Whole Cake Island to deal with another powerful Yonko, while the others team up with Trafalgar Law and the Heart Pirates to travel to Wano.
