Okomotive, the creators behind the popular FAR series, unveiled their next major project titled Herdling at the recent Indie World Showcase. In addition to previously announced platforms, this game will also make its way onto Nintendo Switch. The trailer showcases a shepherd’s adventure tending to a unique breed of creatures known as Calicorns. You can watch it below.
The game titled Herdling concentrates on a journey towards a shrouded summit, with the primary objective being the survival of your herd amid various perils. Along the way, you’ll encounter obstacles in the form of puzzles and experience thrilling stampede sequences where you’ll charge through the terrain. Although the mountain peak is your final destination, you’ll also traverse plateaus, valleys, and forests during your expedition.
In both “FAR: Lone Sails” and “Changing Tides,” the story unfolds without words as players discover the world and form connections with their Calicorn companions. The question of how things came to be and the mysteries hidden atop the peaks remain unanswered.
On August 21st, we’ll learn about the launch of Herdling for Nintendo Switch. Additionally, it will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC as well.
