Welcome to the Eminemshow.
Absolutely, everyone’s attention was on the rap artist known for “Without Me,” as he unexpectedly showed up at the New York City debut of his documentary movie titled “Stan” on August 6th.
Wearing his distinctive hat-and-leather-jacket ensemble, the 52-year-old attended a packed screening at The Rooftop at Pier 17. However, prior to the movie commencing, Eminem (whose genuine name is Marshall Mathers) paused to express gratitude towards his fans for their unwavering support throughout the past two decades. Considering that the film, which debuted in cinemas on August 7, highlights his most dedicated followers sharing how his music affected their lives.
He expressed his gratitude to the audience in a fan TikTok video, saying, “This movie is my way of expressing thanks to each and every one of you. You’ve been there for me through everything – the good, the bad, and the mediocre. I owe you all a debt of gratitude that comes from the deepest part of my heart.
At the same event, Devon Sawa, famous for portraying Stan in Eminem’s 2000 music video, joined in the celebration of Eminem’s career. Interestingly, Devon was also there with his son Hudson. In a touching moment reminiscent of full-circle events, Hudson had a picture taken with the rapper from the movie “8 Mile.
When Eminem isn’t reflecting on his legendary music career, he’s expressing affection for his family. At the May 18 performance at Jelly Roll’s show in Detroit, the “Not Afraid” artist took a moment to give a heartfelt shoutout to his eldest daughter Hailie Jade Scott, aged 29, and her husband Evan McClintock.
It’s been a while since we last met, Detroit,” Eminem remarked then. “Let’s bring back the energy one more time for Jelly Roll, everybody. Happy anniversary to Hailie and Evan, I adore you both.
Hailie, mother of 3-month-old Elliott Marshall McClintock alongside Evan, posted an homage to their significant relationship event on Instagram as well.
Exactly a year ago, I made what felt like the most effortless choice – deciding to be your partner for life,” she expressed in her post that very day. “Here’s to the past year filled with mutual choices, and to many more years ahead.

Kimberly Ann Scott, a native of Michigan, was Emimen’s girlfriend during high school. Their daughter, Hailie Jade, was born in 1995 to them.
As a fellow Michigander, Kimberly Ann Scott and Eminem shared a high-school romance. In the year 1995, their beautiful daughter, Hailie Jade, came into their world.
From 1999 to 2001, and for a fleeting moment in 2006, I was hitched to the legendary rapper. Our rollercoaster romance has left its indelible mark on his music, echoing through tunes like “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Puke,” and “Bad Husband.
In a 2007 interview with 20/20, Kim expressed that their relationship follows a certain pattern: they experience two good years together, but then things take a turn for the worse. This cycle lasts no more than two years, and at that time, they hadn’t yet reached this limit in their relationship. Kim mentioned she didn’t want to rush into anything before the two years were up.
However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.
“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”
On Christmas Day, 1995, rapper Eminem and his partner Kim gave birth to their daughter Hailie. The musician has shared that the event served as a significant motivation for him to focus and improve himself.
In an interview with Q magazine back in 2001, he expressed that everything he was engaged in at the time was all about Hailie. He further mentioned that the money was earmarked for her college education.
During her adolescent years, she predominantly resided under Eminem’s expansive 15,000-square-foot roof in the Detroit suburbs. Subsequently, she pursued psychology at Michigan State University, where she encountered her future spouse, Evan McClintock. After a year of engagement, they tied the knot in May 2024.
During a 2020 episode of Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson, Eminem expressed that Hailie was thriving, stating she graduated from college with an impressive 3.9 GPA. He went on to say that she had certainly made him feel proud.
In October 2024, Hailie announced her pregnancy with her and Evan’s first child, a baby boy.
Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott.
In the early 2000s, Eminem took guardianship of his niece due to his sister’s battles with substance abuse. The “8 Mile” star revealed this information to Rolling Stone in 2004, stating that he had full custody of Hailie, his daughter, and shared custody with her mother. Eminem has always been present in Hailie’s life, and his niece has been a part of his family since her birth. Essentially, Hailie lived with Eminem and her mother, Kim, wherever they resided.
The Oakland University graduate, who was largely brought up by Eminem, refers to him as her father and had him walk her down the aisle during her wedding to Matt Moeller in June 2023.
She shared with People following the wedding ceremony where she was the Maid of Honor, “He wouldn’t have missed it,” she said. “Everything that happened today couldn’t have taken place without my father. I feel incredibly fortunate.
Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.
On April 16, 2002, Kim warmly greeted Stevie, who was then dating Eric Hartter. Later in 2005, when Kim reconnected with him, Eminem officially adopted Stevie.
In August 2021, Stevie publicly identified as nonbinary, expressing in a TikTok video that they prefer to be referred to with all available pronouns.
They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”
Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.
In her 2008 memoir titled “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem”, it is mentioned that she got married to the father of rap artist Eminem, Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., when she was just 15 years old. Seventeen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and subsequently moved to Michigan, as her maternal grandmother resided there.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but delve into the complex saga between Eminem and his mom, Debbie. This tumultuous relationship has been echoed in numerous tracks, one of which is his iconic 2002 hit, “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In this powerful piece, he claims that my idol’s mother struggled with prescription pill abuse during his formative years-an allegation she refuted in her autobiography.
She wrote that no mother would want to be labeled as a drug-addicted, heavy drinker living off government aid. However, what started as untruths grew larger until they led to our estrangement, but all of it was actually false.”
Or
“In her writing, she expressed that no mother should be identified as a habitual pill-taker, frequent drinker, and welfare recipient. Initially, the lies were small, but they expanded until they caused Marshall and me to drift apart, even though everything claimed was fabricated.
Nevertheless, Eminem later showed remorse for publicizing his personal family issues. In one of his 2013 songs titled “Headlights,” he rapped, “I jumped in headfirst, not considering who or what I might have harmed / In that verse, I believe my mom was hit the hardest.
Nelson died at the age of 69 in 2024 following a battle with cancer.
