Mike Novogratz, the head honcho over at Galaxy Digital, reckons there’s a beast of a treasure trove coming to Bitcoin and the crypto world, thanks to a little something President Trump’s got up his sleeve. 🤫💰
Word from a high-up in the White House is that an executive order, expected to drop any day now, will give the green light to the U.S. Secretary of Labor to take another look at the rules. This means 401(k)s and other retirement piggy banks might soon be stuffed with crypto assets. 🐷🌐
Novogratz, never one to mince words, sees this as a game-changer for the industry. He says:
“Trump last night came out and talked about crypto assets being eligible for 401(k)s. I mean that’s a monster pool of capital. And what we’re just seeing is through these treasury companies, through all kinds of different avenues, the aperture of being able to buy crypto being widened and widened and widened, more avenues bringing people into the tent.”
The numbers don’t lie. According to the Investment Company Institute, Americans have a whopping $12.2 trillion tucked away in employer-based retirement plans, with about $8.7 trillion of that in 401(k) plans alone. That’s a lot of dough just waiting to jump into the crypto rodeo. 🤠💸
And it looks like the market is already feeling the love. Bitcoin’s been on a bit of a roll, with the price climbing to $116,420, up 1.61% in the last 24 hours. It’s like the crypto world is getting its own little Christmas miracle. 🎄✨
