After this, your destination should be the Southern Flooded Farmlands. Here, you’ll encounter a Militia engaged in battle with an Ichthian. This engagement will initiate the Smoke Over Pyrgos quest. Successfully completing this quest by suppressing a smoke signal will also grant you Embers of Night as a reward.
In the quaint village of Pyrgos, you’ll encounter a local who mimics chicken sounds. By giving him Moly Root, you’ll receive the Ember of Night reward, along with some experience points and gold.
In summary, make your way to Farmland Crossroads and journey north until you encounter a secret chest. This enigmatic chest may request 100 gold from you in exchange for the reward – Embers of Night. You can perform this action multiple times to gather enough Embers for the Ancient Embers quest.
During its Early Access phase, this quest currently has a glitch. After delivering 90 Embers of Night to Lanthe, she will request additional 120 Embers, yet she will remain interactive.
