At Capcom’s recent exhibition, they shared additional details about their upcoming action title, “Pragmata”. This includes a brief summary of the game’s narrative, as well as a sneak peek into the mechanics that drive its core gameplay, as demonstrated in the latest video release for “Pragmata”.
In the story of Pragmata, it’s Hugh Matthews who finds himself trapped by a moonquake. Remarkably, he’s rescued by an android girl named Diana. Their shared goal becomes escaping to Earth, and they join forces to achieve this. Hugh is a man with a gentle heart but quick wit, while Diana is inquisitive about the world yet wrapped in enigma.
As the team navigates through the Lunar research station, they may encounter adversaries. It’s during these encounters where the game’s distinctive blend of puzzle and action-based mechanics will become crucial. While Hugh is equipped with weapons to combat enemies, their vulnerabilities can best be exploited by Diana using her special skills to hack into them instead.
In simpler terms, Diana can exploit her hacking skills, offering a fast-paced mini-puzzle for players, to pry open the armor of the adversary. This creates an opportunity for Hugh to target the vulnerable spots. It’s important to mention that both the hacking and the main battle take place concurrently, so players must stay vigilant to dodge enemy attacks while Diana breaches their defenses.
Additionally, we’re given a glimpse into the game’s primary environment – an AI-managed Lunar research facility run by Delphi Corporation, where they were developing a novel material for 3D printing intricate items, ranging from microchips to automobiles and even structures. The facility appears to have been deserted by its human staff, but the AI and its robot army are now your adversaries.
As an excited fan, I’m thrilled to share that the highly-anticipated game, Pragmata, is heading our way! This epic adventure will be playable on PC via Steam, as well as next-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Mark your calendars for August 20 to August 24, 2025, as we’ll get a chance to try out the game demo at Gamescom 2025! Can’t wait to dive in!
