Kate Gosselin has got all her children’s hands on deck.
In response to a fan’s observation about a peculiar hand sculpture on her house’s doorway, the former star of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” clarified that it was, in fact, a tribute piece dedicated to her eight children she shared with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin.
In a TikTok video posted on August 6, Kate remarked, “All eight of my children were reaching out to me, with their hands, arranged across a doorway in Pennsylvania at one point. Now, they’ve moved into our dining room.
Upon moving to their new house in North Carolina at the age of 50, she was well aware of what would be displayed on the small shelves.
The hands symbolize Kate and Jon’s children, arranged in the order of their birth: the twins Cara and Mady, who are both 24 years old, and the sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, all 21.

Kate reminisced, ‘Their name was recorded back in 2009, and since then, they have become a cherished item.’
Ever since joining TikTok, Kate has been sharing fresh insights into her life, discussing her nursing profession, as well as what she typically consumes in a day. Moreover, it’s provided an opportunity for her to catch up with those closest to her from the reality TV world and keep them informed about how her kids are faring.
She excitedly mentioned to a TikTok commenter in August that her grown children are enjoying our show alongside their partners and friends, finding it adorable.
The break from the show allowed her children some time to ponder over those past years, with her daughter Hannah lately opening up about the impact of growing up under the spotlight of reality television.
In an interview with Teen Vogue in May, she shared that it had become the norm for them, “We were constantly being filmed, the crew was with us around the clock.
Although she acknowledges that the process of filming brought her and her siblings closer, it was challenging to see how it seemed to drive a wedge between her parents, who divorced in 2009.
“It’s hard to go back,” she continued, “and watch my parents argue.”
