Taylor Swift’s Company Spends $13K on Giant ‘Eras Tour’ Bracelet

Taylor Swift’s company has reportedly purchased the mother of all friendship bracelets.

During Swift’s Eras Tour in New Orleans, Firefly Entertainments Inc., Swift’s personal services company, shelled out approximately $13,000 for the 140-foot-long inflatable friendship bracelet that adorned the Caesars Superdome. This detail was reported by local news outlet 4WWL on June 26.

Shawn Kolodny and Jules Kolodny from Kolossal Arts were responsible for creating the piece, as they shared with Us Weekly in a statement on Thursday: “It’s incredibly appropriate that the last trade of the large friendship bracelet went to Taylor – she was the one who inspired its creation. We are delighted it’s with her now.

As reported by 4WWL, the data originated from the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, the governing body responsible for managing the dome. This district is anticipated to endorse the acquisition during their board meeting scheduled for Thursday.

Us Weekly has reached out to Swift for comment.

Firefly, who takes care of event management and personal services for Swift (age 35) and her family, is tasked with retrieving, transporting, and hand-delivering the bracelet, as outlined in the sales contract.

The large beaded bracelet spelled out “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” with the letters adorned by white beads and splashes of colorful gems. During the three-night concert series held at the Superdome in October 2024, it measured an impressive 140 feet long. Sabrina Carpenter graced the stage as a special guest during these events.

Friendship bracelets have gained popularity among Taylor Swift’s fans (often referred to as Swifties), who were inspired by a lyric in her 2022 song “You’re on Your Own, Kid”: “So create the friendship bracelets, seize the moment and savor it.” Exchanging bracelets became a beloved activity among Swifties at the Eras tour and other fan gatherings.

Notably, even famed attendees at the Eras Tour participated in the enjoyable tradition of exchanging bracelets. This group included Swift’s partner, Travis Kelce, and his sibling, Jason Kelce.

Abby Jones, a marketing expert at ASM New Orleans, was motivated by this idea when she thought up the design for the colossal friendship bracelet. As per 4WWL, this concept inspired her, and with Swift’s team’s approval, Jones enlisted Shawn and Jules – artists from Miami specializing in large inflatables – to create this enormous piece of jewelry.

Swift herself gushed about the giant bracelet during one of the New Orleans concerts.

She expressed her sentiment then, as captured in videos shared by fans, “You’ve established traditions. Every time we perform, it’s a massive outpouring of joy, and I can’t help but feel immensely proud.” At one point, she added, “I simply dropped by one day, and you all were exchanging friendship bracelets. I thought that was neat, and now there’s an enormous friendship bracelet adorning the exterior of this stadium.

The performer behind “Cruel Summer” added, “It’s thoughtful of them to arrange this for us, but your creations surpassed anything I could have imagined for this tour – they truly exceeded expectations.

Following the conclusion of concerts in New Orleans, the massive friendship band moved to various tour venues across different cities. Each city added its unique twist to this trend. In Indianapolis, where Swift performed in October 2024, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis adorned their life-sized dinosaurs outside with friendship bracelets.

The Eras Tour concluded after 149 shows in December 2024.

At the finale of her show in Vancouver, Canada, Taylor Swift expressed gratitude for everyone who made the “Eras Tour” an unforgettable and exhilarating phase in her life so far, as she put it.

Afterward, I decided to post some amazing snapshots from our incredible adventure on Instagram, accompanied by the caption, “I witnessed a unique moment in time. I was part of it. I’ll always recall it. ♥️
