Embark Studios is preparing for the imminent release of Arc Raiders, an exciting extraction shooter game that fans have been eagerly waiting for, especially considering the ongoing discussions about Bungie’s Marathon. Recently, Embark Studios has shared some updates on Arc Raiders ahead of its launch, including both positive and negative information, as well as shedding light on the development process. Additionally, they addressed whether or not Arc Raiders would be featured at Gamescom this year. With popular games like Hollow Knight: Silksong and Pokemon Legends: Z-A already confirmed for playable demos at Gamescom, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see Arc Raiders make an appearance as well.
Regrettably, “Arc Raiders” won’t make it to Gamescom 2025. Moreover, Embark Studios has clarified that there will be no more playtests for the extraction shooter. Previously, fans had the opportunity to participate in two playtests, with one being extended. This allowed a large number of players an extensive sneak peek at the game prior to its release.
It’s been confirmed that Embark Studios is proceeding as planned with the launch of Arc Raiders on October 30th. According to a recent developer update, they are currently working on refining and expanding the gameplay, using insights gained from their previous title (TT2), before its official release.
Though playtests for Arc Raiders have ended, Embark Studios has assured fans that their launch campaign is about to begin swiftly, and they’ll provide regular updates in the meantime. These updates may include fresh footage as well as potential disclosures of new features, maps, weapons, adversaries, and other exciting details.
Here in Stockholm, our team is all systems go, gearing up for the launch scheduled on October 30th! Our current priority lies in refining and enhancing the user experience, and implementing everything we learned from TT2 before the release. To clarify, we don’t have any plans for additional public testing sessions at this time.

As an excited fan, I’ve had a sneak peek at some of the formidable bosses that might be lurking in Arc Raiders thanks to recent leaks. These challenges seem designed to really test my PvE skills! While details about these adversaries are still scarce, Embark Studio has an intriguing system for codenaming them with humorous spice-related names.
The leaks also hint at the possibility of new maps under consideration. Whether we’ll get a taste of these in the game’s initial release or as part of exciting post-launch updates remains to be seen. I can hardly wait to find out more!
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that I’ll be diving into the world of Arc Raiders on October 30th! This action-packed extraction shooter is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Whether you’re a PvE or PvP fanatic, this game has got you covered, catering to both styles of play.
What sets Arc Raiders apart is its cross-play multiplayer feature, which means I can team up with players across different platforms, expanding the gaming community and enabling me to join forces with my friends regardless of their platform.
Initially, Arc Raiders was free-to-play, but Embark Studios has decided to switch things up a bit. Now, the game will cost $40. So, get ready to embark on an exciting journey filled with action, camaraderie, and a small investment!
