HSN Host Tears Up in Network’s Final Florida Show Before Studio Move

It’s the end of a shopping era at HSN.

On Wednesday, June 26th, the shopping network aired its last live show from Florida as they prepared to relocate their studios to Pennsylvania.

Rebecca Vargas, the show’s host, expressed on Instagram about the closing Florida chapter, a significant milestone that marked the last broadcast from studios where it all started 48 years ago. She described the occasion as ‘extraordinary’, feeling honored to have played a part in concluding an era, working alongside individuals who have devoted their careers to this network.

In the spirit of saying goodbye, Vargas extended invitations to the crew members and HSN staff, encouraging them to bid farewell as a fresh chapter unfolds for the network.

Vargas expressed his feelings as he fought back tears: “I wish to pay tribute to each one of them. It’s a joy for me that you are here, and I hope they all show up since these past 48 years have been truly extraordinary. Check this out! I care for every single one of you deeply.

In January, it was disclosed that HSN was planning to move its headquarters from St. Petersburg, Florida. Several on-air personalities and staff members were given the option to transfer with the related network, QVC, to West Chester, Pennsylvania, where their parent company, Qurate Retail, is headquartered.

Back then, I was utterly thrilled when Qurate disclosed that their consolidation was all about honing in on “interactive live shopping” as part of QVC Group’s revamp. Even though HSN and QVC will maintain their unique identities, the thought of more engaging shopping experiences had me absolutely ecstatic!

In his Instagram post, Vargas expressed, “There’s no other family like this one. The enchantment I experienced and was fortunate to be a part of during our brief yet wonderful season can’t be recreated. I remain eternally thankful.

Fashion designer Giuliana Rancic, who used to work at HSN’s Florida studios, found herself moved by a heartfelt video and felt compelled to reminisce about her cherished times selling apparel and household items there.

Currently overwhelmed by a mix of feelings as I watch this . I adore my HSN St Pete family endlessly. My time in St Pete will forever be etched with the most radiant memories, where my dreams bloomed under the nurturing care of every single one of my wonderful, kind-hearted, and loving family members there. This isn’t a farewell, but rather, ‘see you soon’ ❤️❤️❤️.

Vargas wasn’t the only host to share poignant goodbyes to Florida on social media.

Over the course of many years, long-serving host Bobbi Ray Carter, set to step down in December, posted a compilation video showcasing moments from her distinguished career in Florida.

As I embark on a new chapter, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every individual who has played a significant role in my journey thus far. On a recent social media post, I penned down my sincere thanks and affection, stating that you are the essence of my life – the beating heart and radiant soul that has illuminated my path. ❤️❤️❤️
