inZOI is Coming to PS5 in Early 2026, Xbox Version is “Under Consideration”

InZOI Studio has shared that their life simulation game, titled inZOI, currently exclusive to PC via Steam Early Access, will also be released on PlayStation 5. Although the exact release date for the PS5 version hasn’t been disclosed yet, it’s expected to launch in early 2026.

In their social media post about the PS5 release of inZOI, the studio hinted at a potential future launch on Xbox Series X/S as well. Yet, it’s important to note that the Xbox version of inZOI is still under review and hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

The announcement arrives mere days before the anticipated expansion for inZOI: Island Getaway launches on August 20th. This expansion, inspired by a holiday setting, plans to introduce the island resort of Cahaya into the life sim game. Further details about Cahaya were recently disclosed through an update on the official inZOI website, such as the separation of the resort into two separate islands.

In this setup, the bigger metropolis will function as our hub for growth, whereas a smaller, coastal city will become our tranquil ‘Resort Isle’ where Zois can unwind following his tireless efforts in the main city. This Resort Isle will offer various recreational activities. As for our primary island, players can engage in activities like fishing, farming, and mining to generate income, with an additional feature that allows them to set up their own market stalls to sell their goods.

Instead of the Resort Island emphasizing adventure, it prioritizes tranquility, offering various relaxing pursuits such as swimming, snorkeling, exploring on a motorbike, visiting a temple filled with cats, and indulging in a rejuvenating spa day right within the resort premises.

The “Island Getaway” expansion initiates with an in-game event named “This is My Cahaya,” where players are encouraged to create their own “Cahaya.” This event, starting a few days before the expansion’s launch on August 15 and ending on August 24, invites participants to engage in the new activities being introduced to the game.

Back in June, Hyungjun Kim, both director and producer, shared some insights regarding the project titled Cahaya. He also discussed the motivation behind shaping the initial broadening of the popular title inZOI, emphasizing that it would focus on providing a relaxing experience rather than promoting additional work.

Kim explained that “Cahaya” is a city designed with ‘relaxation’ as its theme. Developing the game “inZOI” has been a delight for him, but there are moments when he yearns for a break. Drawing inspiration from these desires, he aimed to create a sanctuary where players who feel overwhelmed by daily routines could come and unwind.

Kim further clarified that the expansion for Island Getaway won’t incorporate intricate job or educational structures, as they don’t align smoothly with the laid-back, leisurely ambiance of the game.

He clarified that they will not be including these individuals within the city boundaries. Instead, they are encouraging a life of self-reliance through pursuits like farming and fishing. An upgrade to the job system is planned for the next city update.

Right now, you can play “inZOI” on your personal computer. For a comprehensive look, feel free to read our review from its initial release. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to experience the expansion during Gamescom as well.

🎮 Exciting news! The action-packed game, inZOI, is set to arrive on PlayStation 5 (PS5) in the year 2026. (A possible launch on Xbox is currently being considered, but it’s not been finalized yet.)
