Throne & Liberty: How to Unlock Calanthia Raid | Raid Queue

In the game Throne & Liberty, the Altar of Calanthia is a fresh 12-player raid that awaits your challenge. However, before you can engage in it, there are prerequisites you’ll have to fulfill first. Given its reputation as one of the toughest content currently available, this raid isn’t immediately accessible upon starting the game. Fortunately, unlocking it isn’t overly difficult. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the steps necessary to initiate the Altar of Calanthia raid.

How to Unlock the Calanthia Raid and Raid Queue | Throne & Liberty

To access the Altar of Calanthia raid, you should first finish the missions labeled as “Two Wings of Sylaveth I” and “Two Wings of Sylaveth II” within your in-game Codex, which can be found under the Extra tab. It’s important to note that you must complete part 1 before moving on to part 2. The game will guide you through the necessary steps to finish these tasks once you begin tracking them from the Codex.

After finishing all the tasks assigned in the Codex, your journey takes you to Herba Village in Talandre. You’ll notice a purple Raid Gate symbol situated in the northern part of the town. Upon hovering over it, you’ll find that it’s the Calanthia’s Return raid. This is where you should head next!

As I step up to the Raid Gate portal, my eyes dart to the lower right corner of the screen where I can seek out a group of fellow adventurers, known as a Vanguard, to join forces with. To the left, an icon beckons me towards Raid Matchmaking, connecting me with other players who are also eager to dive into the Altar of Calanthia raid. On the opposite side, I can link up with a pre-assembled party by clicking on the icon there.

Other Important Details About the Raid

Once the fundamentals are established, take note of these additional points as you prepare for the raid at Calanthia’s Altar:

1. Be aware that the raid is a group activity and communication with your team members is crucial.
2. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the raid area to avoid getting lost or trapped.
3. Understand the abilities and roles of each member in your party, so you can work together effectively.
4. Bring adequate supplies such as potions, food, and other consumables to help sustain your team during the raid.
5. Be prepared for challenging encounters with powerful enemies, requiring quick thinking and strategic planning.
6. Know the raid’s objectives and prioritize completing them in the most efficient manner possible.
7. Keep an eye out for any hidden traps or environmental hazards that could put your team at risk.
8. Be adaptable and ready to adjust your strategy if circumstances change during the raid.
9. Most importantly, stay calm, focused, and work together as a team to overcome any obstacles you may face in the Altar of Calanthia raid.

  • There are two difficulties, Normal and Difficult. Normal requires players with 5000+ Combat Power, while Difficult requires 6000+ Combat Power. Even if you completed the prerequisite Codex Tasks, you can’t initiate the raid without the minimum Combat Power for each difficulty.
  • Raid Matchmaking will form two parties with set roles. These will each consist of 1 tank, 1 healer, and 4 DPS. Premade parties have no role limitations, however!
  • Raid Matchmaking can only be used for the Normal version of the Raid.
  • Speaking of matchmaking, the usual Party Matchmaking menu doesn’t let you queue up for the raid. You have to do it from the Raid Gate at Herba Village.
  • You can complete the raid and claim rewards once per week. You’re guaranteed at least 1 Heroic-grade weapon or armor. Difficult mode offers better rewards, such as giving you Selection Chests instead of random loot.
  • This raid rewards you with the new Entropy Shards and Chaos Prisms materials. These are key to obtaining and enhancing the new Heroic-grade equipment.

Here’s all the essential information for initiating the Altar of Calanthia raid in Throne & Liberty. Since it’s just been released, expect a fair amount of turmoil as players figure out how to conquer it. Nevertheless, you’re now ready to embark on the journey to defeat Calanthia!
