As an avid gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Motion Blur, in partnership with Nvidia, has just unveiled a fresh trailer for their eagerly anticipated sci-fi action game, “Black State“. This intriguing sneak peek, about a minute long, offers a side-by-side comparison of the game’s appearance when Nvidia’s RTX is activated and deactivated. It provides a clear insight into how ray tracing could transform the visuals in our upcoming gaming sessions. Don’t miss out on this exciting preview below!
In addition to RTX, both the studio and Nvidia have announced that the game “Black State” will be compatible with DLSS 4. This includes advanced technology such as Multi Frame Generation, designed to provide smooth frame rates while minimizing sacrifices in graphic detail.
The game titled “Black State” was initially unveiled as early as July 2024, and is currently being developed for PC using Unreal Engine 5. Upon its announcement, Motion Blur mentioned that both “Metal Gear Solid” and “Portal” significantly influenced the game’s development. The title intends to merge the third-person stealth and action elements from “Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain” with the physics-manipulating mechanics of Portal.
“It’s clear that our team holds the Metal Gear Solid series in high regard,” developers shared during an interview. “Over a period of about 2.5 years, while creating our intricate, nearly 500-page game design document, we drew inspiration from games such as The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, and numerous others that are renowned for their innovative approaches to development and gameplay mechanics.”
Drawing inspiration from these significant influences, our dedicated team, though small in numbers, is fully focused on providing exceptional development quality and captivating gameplay mechanics. We aim to craft immersive and profound narratives alongside engaging game mechanics, thereby delivering a memorable and remarkable gaming experience. Our mission is to constantly challenge ourselves and offer gamers an unparalleled gaming adventure.
Last month, a demo was unveiled for the game titled “Black State”. This demonstration provided a glimpse into the alpha version of the game. The trailer suggests that the game’s design elements, including characters, setting, and enemies, bear a striking resemblance to the art style seen in Yoji Shinkawa’s work, notably from the “Metal Gear” series. The gameplay demonstrated in the video highlighted some aspects of the cover-based combat system, where the protagonist battled both demons and enemy soldiers.
In the video, various weapons were displayed, including conventional options such as assault rifles, and some extraordinary ones, like a gun capable of firing what appears to be bolts of lightning at enemies.
As an eager fan, I’d like to share some intriguing insights I recently stumbled upon regarding the highly anticipated project, “Black State.” Art director Omer Faruk Gungor, in an interview from March, shed light on a few key aspects of this masterpiece. He emphasized the significance of visual fidelity in Motion Blur’s creation and discussed the cutting-edge technology the studio is employing to realize their ambitious objectives.
Gungor pointed out that it’s crucial to create a visually impressive game without compromising its performance. This is an area we’re very passionate about. Our aim is to produce a game that looks incredibly lifelike and runs smoothly, providing players with an outstanding gaming experience.
