The rhythm-based game titled “UNBEATABLE” is set to debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Steam for PC on November 6, as announced by publishers Playstack and developers D-CELL.
Here is an overview of the game, via Playstack:
About
UNBEATABLE is a stunning hand-drawn anime inspired rhythm adventure game.
Live through the thrill of being an underground band – in a world where music is outlawed, your passion for music refuses to falter.
Experience Beat and her musical companions as they embark on a voyage of personal growth, combining live music shows, breathtaking stage productions, and engaging rhythm-based mini-games.
Delve into an expansive, immersive setting filled with diverse personalities. Engage in dynamic dialogues that lead to various outcomes. Accompanied by an entirely fresh score as well as additional songs from special artists and creative partnerships in music.
Gameplay
The girl with pink hair is named Beat, and surprisingly, she’s you. Life has been quite stressful for you lately, with the police everywhere and them being upset at you over something that seems unfair. To make matters worse, it seems like you can’t help but befriend people who are already on the cops’ radar for somewhat justified reasons. Yet, it’s still a bit of a mystery, isn’t it?
Engage in conversations, offer assistance or choose not to, perform grand concerts, and engage in physical altercations with law enforcement officers. Subsequently, flee the police you’ve confronted. There also seem to be mysterious creatures or monsters present, but it’s unclear what role they play in this scenario.
Everything builds up to grand, climactic scenes where everything hangs in the balance. The music guides your way, and it will carry you forward during these tense moments.
Party Like It’s 1999
The comprehensive arcade mode offered by ‘UNBEATABLE’ functions like a standalone game, featuring its own advancement system and robust online connectivity. It includes various modifiers, numerous songs (with new ones being added regularly), and a vast challenge board to conquer. The tasks range from the basic, such as “play a song on easy mode,” to what might appear complex, like “solve a cryptic riddle while skateboarding” – though the latter example is hypothetical.
