As fans were still processing the shocking revelations about Loki’s past, it seems that One Piece is preparing to unveil another intriguing backstory, this time possibly connected to Shakky. The Elbaf Arc of One Piece has started to delve into the lore of Rocks and his illustrious pirate crew, which appears to be intertwined with Elbaf and the enigma surrounding Harald’s murder. For quite a while now, recent chapters have been laying groundwork for a potential major disclosure, also introducing notable pirates from that era such as Shakuyaku and the captivating Kuja Pirates.
It appears that although it might seem like the Elbaf Arc’s flashback has veered off its primary objective, Shakuyaku could actually turn out to be more pivotal than fans initially believed for both the flashback and future events in One Piece. The latest chapter suggests that Shakky may have played an indirect role in the God Valley Incident, a key event where her character’s hidden tragedy might unravel.
One Piece Teases Shakky’s Potential Dark Past
In chapter 1157 of One Piece, readers discover that Shakky relinquished his role as the Kuja Pirates’ captain and started a bar on Pirate Island, earning him the title “the island’s invaluable asset.” The storyline subtly suggests that this valuable item was later stolen. This reminder echoes the intriguing exchange between Kong and Garp during the God Valley flashback from the Egghead Arc, where Garp implied that the Rocks Pirates had come to take Fullalead’s treasure because it was seized by either the Marines or the Celestial Dragons, and they were merely attempting to retrieve it.
During a hunting competition in God Valley, Shakky, known for her beauty, was taken as a slave by a powerful being called a Celestial Dragon and made their wife. This is reminiscent of Ginny’s story, suggesting she might have also been a slave and brought to God Valley. As a result, Roger and Rocks may have gone to rescue Shakky. The stories of both Ginny and Kuma are particularly sad in the series One Piece, and it’s unfortunate but believable that Ginny isn’t the only one to endure such treatment at the hands of the World Nobles.
Should Shakky indeed be one of Amazon Lily’s former empresses, her tale would share striking similarities with Boa Hancock’s, making for an intriguing comparison. Furthermore, opening a second bar at Sabaody could suggest a selfless act to rescue enslaved individuals destined for the Celestial Dragons’ auction house. Until the next chapter unveils Shakky’s true past, fans can only anticipate eagerly, with tissues on hand in case the story takes a poignant turn.
