Lost Rift launches in Early Access on September 25

The action-packed survival first-person shooter game titled ‘Lost Rift’ is set to debut on September 25, as revealed by its developers at People Can Fly. This release will be through Early Access on Steam for PC users.

The Early Access release will feature “new and exciting major game updates,” including:

  • Over 10 Hours of New Player-Versus-Environment Narrative Gameplay – The anomaly walls around the island have vanished, bringing new quests, enemies, and secrets to uncover as you explore the island with your friends.
  • Solo / Cooperative Player-Versus-Environment and Multiplayer Combat Expeditions – Survive alone or with friends in teams of up to five in a cooperative player-versus-environment experience. Gather resources, craft armor and weapons, and prepare for high-stakes player-versus-player-versus-environment expeditions where you must risk everything to extract rare loot needed to advance.
  • Survival Sandbox and Base Building – New shelter building mechanics using a tile-based system. Create the perfect place to craft, repair, upgrade gear, and enhance your odds of survival.
  • Exploration – Traverse diverse biomes, from jungles and beaches to stations and outposts, each with unique challenges and opportunities.

In a recent announcement, our creative director Laurent Malville expressed that the imminent Early Access launch of ‘Lost Rift’ represents a significant achievement, showcasing the diligence and commitment of our team in creating an exciting new type of first-person survival adventure. We are deeply appreciative of the backing we’ve received from the community, and I am thrilled to unveil the substantial content updates we have prepared when the game officially debuts on September 25.

Lost Rift is an adrenaline-pumping first-person survival shooter set in a world that’s part adventure, part base-building, and all about surviving against both AI and other players. You can play on your own or with up to four friends, and every choice you make could change the outcome of your journey through this intriguing, immersive, and enigmatic landscape.

You find yourself shipwrecked on a beach at Pioneer’s Landing, an alluring and enigmatic island in a collection of archipelagos. On your self-contained island designed for player-versus-environment interaction, gather necessary resources, construct a camp, manufacture tools, and utilize the surrounding plants and wildlife to endure and get ready for challenging multiplayer-versus-environment adventures.

In this game, the emphasis is on giving you, the player, ample freedom to make decisions that mold the course of your adventure. You’ll be able to claim various islands not only through combat, but also by establishing and growing your survival legacy on them.
