Halloween is a New Asymmetrical Multiplayer Horror Game Based on the Classic 1978 Film

As a huge fan, I’m thrilled to announce that Developer IllFonic has revealed an exhilarating new asymmetrical multiplayer horror game – Halloween! Being a big fan of John Carpenter’s classic horror film, it’s no surprise that this game draws inspiration from the original movie. The notorious Michael Myers, iconically terrifying, will once again be the main antagonist in this chilling adventure. The game was officially announced with an enticing trailer that you can watch below!

In the game “Halloween,” one participant assumes the character of Michael Myers, a menacing figure who roams the streets of Haddonfield, systematically murdering innocent townsfolk. Meanwhile, four other players represent these very citizens, working together to warn the entire town about the escalating threat posed by Michael’s rampage. As they navigate through the game, they gather weapons – some genuine and others improvised – in an effort to delay Michael Myers while simultaneously raising the alarm throughout the town.

In the game, Michael Myers is nearly impossible to stop, but players assuming the roles of citizens can control NPCs and arm them with weapons to counteract this menace. The creators have labeled it as an “immersive horror sandbox,” and they’ve confirmed that there will be a separate single-player story mode focusing on Michael Myers, where players will delve into the events leading up to “The Night He Came Home.

The upcoming game, Halloween, is being crafted with the powerful Unreal Engine 5 and slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in the year 2026.
