All Kerotans & Ga-Kos Bolshaya Past in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater

In the game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the Bolshaya Past region is one of the initial areas with three Kerotans and three Ga-Kos cleverly concealed. They’re there, just waiting for you to discover them.

In the world of Metal Gear Solid, I’m thrilled to see the iconic Kerotans, those adorable frog figurines, back from MGS3, hidden just as they were in earlier versions. On the other hand, Delta introduces Ga-Kos – camouflaged duck toys unique to this version. Keep an eye out for them and give them a whack when you find one, collecting them all will earn you some trophies and unlock some incredible new camouflage options!

Let’s guide you through the locations in Bolshaya Past and its neighborhoods, ensuring you won’t overlook a single one!

All Kerotans & Ga-Kos in Bolshaya Past | Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Ga-Ko #1

The initial collectible that we’ll acquire in this part of the game can be found at the southwestern edge of Bolshaya Past.

Upon entering the area, promptly veer left to align yourself with the northwest direction. Follow the fence while walking until you spot a lofty tree suitable for climbing. Perched on one of its branches is the Ga-Ko. Aim and shoot it, following your standard procedure, to secure it as discovered.

Kerotan #1

Following the last Ga-Ko, proceed northwards towards Bolshaya Past South for further progression. You will eventually encounter the third electrified fence in this region. Navigate to the designated spot indicated on your map, which is directly in front of that electric fence.

Discover the enchanting frog hidden among the nearby trees in the shady spots. Instead of greeting it, let’s approach it respectfully and observe it closely.

Peek around the trees nearby and you might spot a delightful frog enjoying the shade. To engage with it gently, move closer to get a better view without disturbing it excessively.

Kerotan #2

Advancing forward, you’ll eventually arrive at the central area of the Big Past Base, having traversed the route from Big Past South first. It is advisable to be cautious upon approach due to the numerous security personnel stationed there.

Upon entering the main structure, look for the timid Kerotan concealed beneath a desk on the south side of the central hall. He appears to be quite frightened by the nearby soldiers, doesn’t he?

Ga-Ko #2

While you’re at Bolshaya Past Base, make your way towards the isolated ammunition storage located in the northeastern part of the premises.

There you’ll spot Ga-Ko, perched atop a shed. Given its usual camouflage, make sure to take it down swiftly to reveal it!

Before proceeding with the story, remember that this is a critical juncture where there’s no going back. It would be wise to gather all the Kerotans and Ga-Kos in the current area before advancing. Additionally, it might be beneficial to retrace your steps to any you may have missed in previous areas, such as those found in Dremuchij during Operation Snake Eater.

If you’re all set, though, read on for the last 2 collectibles in the Bolshaya Past area.

Ga-Ko #3

This special Ga-Ko item can exclusively be discovered during your battle with Revolver Ocelot at Bolshaya Past Crevice. It’s situated northwest of the arena, which means it’s located on Ocelot’s side of the combat zone.

Although it blends in quite effectively, you can identify it distinctly by positioning yourself to face the Ocelot directly and observing the mound located on its left side. For clarification, the provided screenshot illustrates both its camouflage and exposure.

Kerotan #3

Just like the previous Ga-Ko item, you’ll find the Kerotan by engaging in combat with Revolver Ocelot. This time, it can be located if you turn around and face a direction that is southeastern.

This Kerotan is located in an isolated, hard-to-reach part of the environment, surrounded by vegetation. Despite being camouflaged, its distinctive bright green color should make it noticeable. Quickly take it down with tranquilizer darts before resuming your pursuit of Ocelot. If you’re aiming for a non-violent approach, try to use tranquilizer rounds!

You’ll discover all the Kerotans and Ga-Kos that exist in Bolshaya Past within Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. We previously highlighted this, so remember to gather them all before moving past the Ocelot encounter because they are not reappearable once missed.
