Richar Armitage, both an actor and author, has recently published two books – “Geneva” in 2022 and “The Cut” in 2024. At the moment, he’s deeply engaged in writing a third novel, though its title remains undisclosed as of now.
As a passionate movie lover excitedly anticipating his upcoming book, I recently heard some intriguing insights he shared during an interview with PEOPLE, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the world of his forthcoming literary creation.
He shared with the media: “I’m captivated by the concept of a divided male identity, so books that have given me a spine-tingling sensation are ones like ‘The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ by Robert Louis Stevenson, ‘The Double’ by Fyodor Dostoevsky, and ‘William Wilson’ by Edgar Allan Poe. Therefore, I’m delving into similar themes.
“It’s gonna be a crime thriller, but I think it’s more in the line of a psychological thriller.”

In the year 2024, Armitage shared with TopMob that his upcoming third book would shift from a crime thriller to a psychological thriller. He also hinted at exploring the theme of social media reformation.
He shared with us that he’s become quite hooked on writing, describing it as a persistent urge he just can’t shake off. It seems his passion has been fueled by authors such as Harlan Coben, and he’s brimming with creative ideas.
It’s truly awe-inspiring to share the same space with several authors whose works I’ve frequently brought to life by narrating their audiobooks on Audible. This experience, in essence, has been instrumental in shaping my own writing journey.
In the latest project he’s worked on, Armitage teamed up with Harlan Coben for “Missing You,” a series that premiered on Netflix towards the beginning of this year.
As a cinephile eager to share my insights, I’m thrilled to announce that last year, I officially signed off on a television adaptation of my novel, Geneva. This captivating project has been in the works with Sony for close to a year now, and I can hardly contain my excitement about its potential!
“So that’s on the cards, that’s going to happen,” he confirmed to TopMob.
