Tonight on Emmerdale, there seems to be even more enigma shrouding John Sugden, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth. If you prefer to avoid spoilers, it might be best for you to avert your gaze.
The notorious villain is coming back to our TVs following a brief hiatus. This enigmatic character has been missing from the ITV soap in recent instalments as he opted to flee the domestic turmoil for a short vacation with his spouse, Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller).
However, during Thursday’s episode, a chilling atmosphere quickly develops at the cottage where John and Aaron currently reside.
Initially, the duo seemed content with the tranquility, yet when Aaron proposed the idea of purchasing the property from the landlord for a permanent residence, John found the notion disconcerting.
The situation grows more mysterious when John pretends to make a call to the landlord as a tactic to change the subject with Aaron. It’s evident that something unusual is happening when Aaron attempts to open a locked door in the cottage, and John behaves oddly in response.
Is it possible that John is concealing something connected to the door, which might account for his troubled state of mind? And could this secret perhaps be related to the mysterious vanishing of Mackenzie Boyd?
Last week on ITV’s soap opera, it seemed like Mack became a victim of John, as he uncovered the fact that John was responsible for the death of Nate Robinson.
Following the connection of the pieces, Mack attempted to notify Robert about the suspicious activities via text, however, John intercepted him while he was in the process.
In the heat of the moment, as I was making a desperate dash through the dense forest, my pursuer – John – closed in, taking aim with his ancient-looking bow and firing an arrow that struck me. The impact left me crumpling to the ground, seemingly lifeless.
