Yoshihiro Togashi, known for his long-standing career as a manga creator, has significantly impacted the anime world with his extensive body of work. His fame reached global levels, making him the most popular manga artist in the world, often using social media to reveal updates on upcoming projects. Notably, one of Togashi’s significant ongoing works is the continuation of “Hunter x Hunter,” a series that has faced numerous delays due to fan anticipation for its next installment featuring the hero and villain hunters. Recently, there’s been an exciting new development in the progress of this manga series.
In simpler terms, it has been several months since Chapter 410 of the popular manga “Hunter x Hunter” was published in December of last year. This means fans have eagerly anticipated a return of the series. Fortunately, the creator, Togashi, is gearing up to resume the cherished shonen series, having already shared sneak peeks of Chapter 415. Although a release date for Chapter 411 has yet to be announced, followers can look forward to several upcoming installments that will further develop the Succession Contest Arc, as hunters journey towards the “Dark Continent.” You can find Togashi’s recent update below, where he notes that the background designation is now complete.

When Last We Left The Hunters
In the narrative of Hunter x Hunter, the Succession Contest Arc marks a fresh, bold turn, shifting focus from characters like Gon and Killua towards Kurapika. As internal strife sweeps through a royal family over who shall claim the throne, the character with bloodshot eyes, typically a supporting figure, finds himself engaged in battles alongside the Zodiac Hunters, safeguarding Prince Woble. Despite intense action unfolding in the manga, it has been several years since we last saw Gon and Killua, sparking curiosity among readers as to whether they will make a comeback.
Meanwhile, Kurapika’s predicament isn’t the only turmoil happening; the Phantom Troupe is facing its own internal struggles. The outbreak of a civil war among them was triggered by Hisoka’s confrontation with their leader. Regrettably for Hisoka, he failed to overcome Chrollo in their individual battle, but managed to survive nonetheless. Given that several members of this manga group are scattered across the globe, their future meeting promises significant impact on the anime community.
During its anticipated comeback, an update on a new animated series adaptation hasn’t been announced yet. The last time we saw the hunters in action was back in 2014 when Studio Madhouse wrapped up their final episode of the TV series. This finale covered the 13th Hunter Chairman Election Arc, following the Chimera Ant Arc. It remains to be seen if the upcoming adaptation will pick up where Madhouse left off or explore fresh content instead.
