For instance, one of the most popular posts on the Nintendo Switch Reddit forum this week criticizes the new Mario Kart’s time trials, claiming they are a step back from both Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The article argues that time trials in Mario Kart World are a significant setback compared to previous versions, as key features from past editions seem to have mysteriously disappeared in this latest version of the mode in MKW.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed an aspect in the game that could use some improvement – the presentation of my time after setting a personal record. In Mario Kart 7 and 8, it’s straightforward to understand where I stand among other players with the help of a bell curve graph showing my time relative to others. Whether my time is average, slower, or faster, there’s an instant visual representation for all that data. Unfortunately, in World, there’s no such feature. Additionally, I haven’t found a way to race against friends’ best times or even see their ghosts.
In a nutshell, while the viewpoint of a single fan might seem insignificant on its own, it turned out to have a bigger impact, as shown by its widespread appeal. Interestingly, numerous comments shared a similar sentiment.
