Meghan Markle‘s kids are royally impressed with their parents.
The Duchess of Sussex provided a glimpse into the production process of season two of her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” featuring an endearing photo of Archie and Lilibet, ages 6 and 4 respectively, spellbound by observing their mother working on set.
On Instagram, September 1st, Lili was pictured at an outdoor café table, adorned in a floral dress and a vibrant pink sweater, with a headphone in her ear and staring at a screen showing Meghan filming for a lifestyle show. Meanwhile, Archie, wearing a red T-shirt sporting a soccer ball with the number “10” in its center, was nearby, clutching his own earpiece to listen to his mom as she filmed the program.
And that wasn’t the only time Meghan’s loved ones got to be involved in With Love, Meghan.
In other shots from the series, Archie was pictured gripping the director’s slate while a team member chuckled from behind. Simultaneously, Lili found herself seated in a renowned fold-out actor’s chair. At the same time, Harry, aged 40, struck a pose alongside Meghan and one of her show’s guest chefs, Clare Smyth.
Meghan shared that filming the second season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ was even more enjoyable than one might think, as she posted a delightful Instagram series. Alongside a snapshot of her on-set music playlist, she wrote: ‘Music played a big part in maintaining our lively atmosphere. During breaks between set-ups, I would often play songs from my phone. Today, I’d like to reveal some tunes that I frequently listened to and enjoyed! Feel free to incorporate them into your playlist, hit shuffle, and savor the music!’
The 44-year-old added, “Happy Labor Day weekend! Work hard, play hard.”
Absolutely, Meghan didn’t solely rely on her family for her return to the home-making show. Notably, she was accompanied by notable guest stars including Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, David Chang, and Christina Tosi.
In her August 12 Instagram post hinting at the upcoming episode, Meghan expressed, “It’s delightful to relish and share the most cherished experiences together.

Meghan Markle shared in season two that she made husband Prince Harry and his friends custom baseball hats bearing “PH40″—his initials and age—in honor of his 40th birthday in September 2024.
Prior to setting off on a Malibu getaway with friend Heather Dorak, Meghan opened up about the changes she’s experienced since her twenties.
She shared that when they first crossed paths, their bond was formed over a shared passion for health and fitness. They would often run together, and now, they’re both moms to two children each. Their husbands are close friends as well, making it heartwarming to witness the growth of this friendship through the years.
The former Suits star went on to share how her thoughts about aging have evolved as well.
She elaborated, “It’s wonderful to navigate the journey of maturity during your 20s, slowly finding your path in your 30s, and truly enjoying life in your 40s. This process is essential for personal growth and self-discovery. It’s fascinating to observe how we as women have grown more confident and comfortable with ourselves and our bodies as we age.
Observing that they’re enjoying cookies and wine now, Meghan remarked, “We’ve entered a new chapter in our friendship.
Meghan admitted that she hadn’t seen her ex-co-star from “Deal or No Deal” for nearly two decades. However, they rekindled their connection a few years back after she initiated contact with her.
When they finally got together in season two, the pair reminisced about old times on set.
“I remember all having to stand in line,” Meghan recalled, “to get our lashes put on in a row.”
Even though they haven’t seen each other since their last meeting, the Duchess of Sussex confessed that she has been following and taking interest in Chrissy’s professional progression.
After I departed from that performance, around a year’s time passed, and it turned out you gained widespread recognition,” Meghan shared. “I was astonished, ‘Wow, she’s on the Sports Illustrated cover…’ You were incredibly kind.
Following Meghan’s unintentional mistake, calling the Hawthorn flower “Honsworth,” Chrissy playfully suggested that perhaps the royal was actually disclosing the name of her hidden third child in jest.
As the Cravings cookbook author noted, “I was like, ‘You have a kid named Honsworth?'”
In response, Meghan playfully remarked, “That’s my child we’re talking about – one you’ve never even heard of! By the way, keeping a secret like that…impressive indeed!
In the second season, Harry was momentarily present, joining Meghan and Chef Clare Smyth, who had flown over from the UK for the unique episode. This trio even posed for a picture together with the caption, “Unexpected Arrival!
Meghan, who is blessed with children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet alongside Harry, affectionately referred to their “precious little boy” as “the most gentle, sweet, loveable child ever born.
“I always wanted to be a mom,” Meghan added. “I love it. It’s better than I even expected.”
Meghan had to face the music after her move from London to California.
She confessed to Tan France that among all things, what she truly misses about the U.K. is the radio station Magic, and she jokingly added that she might become a “radio-listening grandma.
These days, she noted her playlists can range from soul to country music.
As I share my musical preferences, let me tell you about my go-to station on my car radio – a charmingly nostalgic one I’ve affectionately named ‘Mom Jeans.’ It plays tunes that take me back, songs that are perfect for singing along, and I often find myself marveling at how well they still resonate.
Cooking might be one of Meghan’s love languages, but her dishes don’t always turn out egg-celent.
She shared, “I prepared a roasted chicken on the very night he proposed to me, it’s also what we enjoyed at our wedding reception. To this day, I cook it at least once a week. Remarkably, when I made that roast chicken for my now-husband, I was still grappling with converting temperatures between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
She admitted, “The chicken I cooked that night was really bad. It was just awful. However, my message is, even if you make something terrible, someone may still value your effort.
During Clare’s show segment, she playfully noted that Harry teases her by calling her “so American” because she omits the ‘h’ sound when saying “herbs,” effectively making it silent.
The actress revealed that during her pregnancy, she consulted an Ayurvedic physician, a practitioner of an ancient Indian healing practice, for advice. However, she lamented to guest Samin Nosrat that her prescription included eating an excessive amount of dates, stating simply, “so many.
Although fans are aware that Meghan has a fondness for jam, it was during the first season where she disclosed her newfound interest in preserving jams, which stemmed from her and Harry’s move to their residence in Montecito, California.
In the second episode of “With Love, Meghan“, she mentioned that these vines had already been here when we moved in, as she carefully picked berries. It was this very scene that sparked her passion for making jams and preserves.
As for Meghan’s favorite preserve?
The Duchess of Sussex shared that she appreciates apple butter because it’s a sentimental link to her childhood, as her grandmother used to make it. She added that for her children Archie and Lilinow, this tradition represents coming home from school and being greeted by the sweet aroma of slow-cooked fruit in their house, signifying their mother is making preserves again.
In fact, Meghan said Lili has even tried her hand at preserve-making.
In episode five, Lili announced that we had both prepared this particular batch of strawberry preserve together. She had gathered all the berries alongside me, and when I suggested she could step back, she insisted on taking charge. With a determined spirit, she offered to stir and mash the mixture. After ensuring the hot liquid was kept at a safe distance, she took over and filled it in. Her pride was evident, and watching her take control felt rewarding.
However, it appears Harry, who made a cameo on season one, has some culinary skills too.
In episode five, Meghan remarked, referring to her spouse affectionately, “My husband, or as I call him, H, is quite the master of breakfast cooking.
The duchess also offered some insight into how the Duke of Sussex likes to season his food.
In the second episode, Meghan shared that her husband has a habit of salting his food even before tasting it. As a response, she has decided to season her meals less generously.
In terms of her fashion choices, Meghan expressed a preference for a blend known as the “high-low” style, which essentially means pairing high-end, luxurious items with more affordable ones.
As a die-hard Suits fan, I can’t help but share the details of my favorite fashion moment during season one – when our beloved star hosted Mindy Kaling for a delightful tea party! She looked splendid in her ensemble, which included Zara pants, a Loro Piana top, and a cozy sweater by Jenni Kayne.
In addition to demonstrating Meghan’s passion for hosting, cooking, gardening, and interior design, she also shares insights into some of her lesser-known hobbies.
For instance, in one episode, she hosted a game night for her friends.
Over the past few months, we’ve been learning Mahjong as a group. This popular game originated in China during the 1800s, but we play the American version. The best part for me has been discovering something new with friends and watching as our camaraderie grows against the backdrop of this enjoyable game.
In a different installment, Vicky Tsai, the founder of Tatcha, mentioned that Meghan enjoys playing pickleball. Meanwhile, the Duchess shared some of her preferred music genres on her own.
In the fifth episode, I expressed my preference for a variety of genres that take me back to different eras. I’m particularly fond of ’70s soft rock, yacht rock, and soul music. And when it comes to setting a sophisticated mood, nothing beats French dinner party music for me.
And when it come to food, she said she has a “very, very high tolerance” for spice.
Even as children, we didn’t have much but we traveled extensively due to my mother being a travel agent. We sampled various foods and explored numerous places. My mother would prepare gumbo and other Soul food dishes that were rich in flavor and spice. I still have a strong affection for these flavors and their level of heat. As a result, I am introducing these tastes to my family and enjoy every moment of it.
In the second episode of its debut season, Meghan reminisced about her childhood, which was characterized by frequent consumption of fast food and meals served on TV trays.
In the second installment, she mused, “It seems like such a contrasting era,” recalling a time when convenience meals for kids in microwaveable containers divided into sections… That was the norm for me, spending my days watching Jeopardy! and consuming plenty of fast food.
Her favorites at the time?
Meghan mentioned that she frequently enjoyed Pollo Loco and Taco Bell, particularly their Mexican pizzas with extra hot sauce. Additionally, she often chose Jack in the Box due to her mother’s fondness for their tacos.
Besides those memories, Meghan also reminisced about her experiences with the Girl Scouts during her childhood years.
In the fourth episode, she shared that she had been a Girl Scout for quite some time. Her journey began at the age of five or six as a Daisy, and she sold numerous boxes of cookies. Notably, her mother served as the troop leader for Troop 949.
As followers dedicated to our roles within the Royal Family, Harry and I (Meghan) opted to take a step back in 2020. Despite this change, we have chosen to retain our titles as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
And in With Love, Meghan, she explained why the Sussex name is so meaningful to her.
In episode two, Meghan explained to Mindy, “It’s quite amusing that you keep referring to me as Meghan Markle.” However, now I’m known as the Sussex, and you often say, ‘I share my name with my children.’ I didn’t realize how significant it would be for me, but it holds a deep meaning when I can say, ‘This is our family name. Our small, intimate family name.’
Speaking of Archie and Lili, Meghan offered a few insights into their world in the series.
The mom of two disclosed her children share her passion for gardening, mentioning they possess their own gardening equipment to demonstrate their commitment. Additionally, she discussed her daughter’s fondness for the color pink and a tune she sings whenever it’s time to tidy up.
Meghan said during episode five, “It’s been turned into a song – ‘Clean as you go, clean as you go.'” This version maintains the original meaning while sounding more natural and easy to read. It also preserves the rhythmic repetition of the phrase, which might be intended to echo the catchy tune Lili made out of it.
Furthermore, Meghan shared stories about brewing sun tea with Archie and an instance when they both went fishing and caught a trout. Additionally, she spoke about her passion for cooking with her kids.
She mentioned in episode five that it holds such significance for their education and creates special, lasting memories for us, as she put it: ‘It’s like “Oh mama would always do this.”‘
Long before she was an actress or a duchess, Meghan had her first job at an ice cream shop.
During the fifth episode of “With Love, Meghan”, she recalled that she was around 13 years old when her first job was at Humphrey Yogart.
Later on, Meghan helped make doughnuts.
In the third episode, she shared, “Doughnuts in particular take me back to my childhood memories,” as she once worked at a quaint doughnut store named Lil Orbits Donuts. Instead of traditional doughnut holes, they produced miniature doughnuts which were sold at craft fairs, and I assisted there.
And when she was in college, Meghan worked at a bar in Chicago.
In simpler terms, the Northwestern University graduate shared that after studying two majors, they initially planned to go to Chicago and work as a coat-check girl for some extra income. However, people advised them to consider becoming a cocktail waitress instead. This paraphrase aims to maintain the original meaning while making it more accessible for a broader audience.
After a customer’s peculiar martini request left Meghan perplexed, her supervisor reportedly suggested, “Perhaps it would be best for you to return to your role as a coat-check attendant.
Furthermore, it’s worth mentioning that Meghan has shared in various episodes of her past experiences. She used to conduct gift-wrapping classes, served as an instructor for book-making workshops at Paper Source, and worked as a hostess at the Mirabelle Restaurant situated on Sunset Boulevard.
In the fourth episode, where Meghan graciously invites Delfina Blaquier (Nacho Figueras’ wife) over for a gathering, she reminisces about her past experiences living overseas.
As a lifestyle enthusiast reflecting on my past experiences, I found myself deeply captivated by Argentina during my brief sojourn there while interning at the U.S. embassy. The reason it resonated with me so strongly was its striking similarities to California – not just in its picturesque landscapes adorned with majestic mountains, but also in the infectious zest for life and embracing the outdoors that both regions exude. Despite my stay being limited to a few short months, Argentina managed to capture my heart, leaving me yearning for more.
In a nutshell, from 2011 to 2018, Meghan starred as Rachel Zane on the show Suits, and that moment she learned about relocating to Toronto for the part remains etched in her memory.
In the second episode, she mentioned that something was picked up, specifically in Toronto. Her response was, “Alright, so one season in Toronto. Fantastic. Two seasons? Could it be that my life will now be in another location? Luckily, I’ve always had an affinity for Canada, and I’ve always tried to bring the cast here or meet people at the dog park with their pets.
In fact, her costar Abigail Spencer appears in one of the With Love, Meghan episodes.
In January 2025, Meghan announced her beloved dog, Guy, passed away.
The cute beagle frequently showed up on Netflix’s series, and Meghan often expressed her affection for him.
In episode four, I declared with unabashed enthusiasm, “For Guy, I’d go to any lengths, and he fully understands that.” He’s a chameleon, adapting seamlessly to whatever role he needs to play-he’s my sweetheart one day, my jester the next, my spicy charm on other occasions, forever my pampered prince.
And he was always by her side.
She mentioned in episode five that ‘Guy’ is always around. He’s like my shadow, and we’ve been together for an incredibly long period. I’ve had him since I lived in Toronto; he was discovered in the woods of Kentucky, and he moved with me to the U.K., back to Canada, then California. So yes, ‘Guy’ has a lot of tales to share.
As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but express my heartfelt sentiments after the concluding episode of season one. In honor of our beloved Guy, I penned down a tribute, dedicating it to him in eternal memory.
