Approaching the anticipated launch of Ghost of Yotei, Sony has shared a new short gameplay clip, zeroing in on Atsu’s traditional Japanese sword, the odachi, this time around.
In the open-world action game, the odachi is a formidable Japanese sword, ideal for combating common and bigger adversaries in an open environment.
In the same fashion as other videos, Atsu engages a gang of antagonists but manages to prevail due to her proficiency in handling every type of weapon.
As a die-hard fan, I must say, wielding an odachi feels mighty! It’s all about packing a punch, trading some nimbleness for sheer power and forcefulness.

One of many weapons featured in the game is the kusarigama, along with the yari and firearms. These have already been showcased by Sony in their promotional videos.
You’ll be able to swap between weapons on the fly to take on different enemy types.
It’s likely that all this weaponry will carry over to Ghost of Yotei: Legends, which is the upcoming multiplayer mode for the game, scheduled to release after the initial launch.
