Wallace & Gromit creator teases franchise future and whether we’ll get a Feathers McGraw prequel

35 years after their debut, the beloved duo Wallace & Gromit graced our screens once again during the holiday season, starring in their second full-length movie titled “Vengeance Most Fowl.

The movie was broadcasted on BBC One on Christmas Day, captivating audiences globally due to its massive viewership figures. People were eager to follow the legendary duo and unravel the mystery of Feathers McGraw, who had been absent from screens since his last appearance in “The Wrong Trousers” back in 1993.

Currently, enthusiasts are eagerly longing for additional content, and interestingly, the creators themselves hint that their wishes might come true, albeit it might take some time before they can enjoy it.

It often takes me some time to develop and refine these concepts, yet I always have a stream of creative thoughts swirling within me.

When asked about the possibility of a Feathers McGraw prequel that might explain his character, Park responded: “Indeed, I’ve been posed that question quite a few times. It’s an intriguing notion. I usually reply, ‘Well, keep an eye out, you never know.’ It remains uncertain unless we develop a truly captivating concept.

At the National Television Awards, Wallace and Gromit received the Special Recognition Award, which was handed to them by Jonathan Ross.

During his acceptance speech, Park expressed his astonishment at how much the characters had evolved since he initially conceived them as a student, and honored the memory of the late Peter Sallis, the original voice behind Wallace, as well as Ben Whitehead, who currently portrays the role.

In the video, the animated characters were shown graciously accepting the award as well. Previous cast members like Lenny Henry, Sally Lindsay, Adjoa Andoh, Reece Shearsmith, and Diane Morgan also took a moment to acknowledge their lasting greatness and appeal during the ceremony.
