Okay, it’s that time again – a new football game from EA is almost here! Last year’s *FC 25* had a lot of people complaining, and honestly, they had some good points. It seems like EA really listened to us players and is trying to deliver a much better experience this time around. I’m hoping they’ve fixed a lot of the stuff we were all frustrated with!
With the release of *FC 26*, there are many exciting new features, and a key goal is to improve upon what was offered last year. Let’s take a look at what makes *FC 26* different and better.
1. Stamina Nerfs on AI Teammates

AI teammates will have reduced stamina, making matches more challenging. To win, you’ll need to focus on smart positioning, keeping control of the ball, and carefully managing your players’ energy levels.
2. Refined AI Teammate Positioning

Worried about your players getting tired or the AI crowding the middle of the field? Don’t be! EA has improved the player AI so they’ll position themselves more effectively during intense moments, helping you maintain control and stamina.
This change could balance out the reduced stamina, leading to more exciting, immersive, and engaging matches as players compete to win and become well-known.
3. Nerfed Boosts and Through-Balls

Responding to player feedback about *FC 25*, EA has reduced the speed of the L1 boost and the power of through-balls. This change aims to make the game feel more realistic and remove the excessive speed advantages some players were exploiting in the previous version.
With a few more improvements, this could significantly enhance the gameplay in EA’s new game and make it feel more realistic. We’re eager to see how these changes affect both the Competitive and Authentic modes, as they cater to different player preferences.
4. A New Free Kick Camera Angle

We’ve tweaked the free kick camera angle to get you closer to the action and make it easier to aim for the perfect shot.
This is a great improvement, adding more substance to the game with subtle but impactful tweaks. It shows EA is committed to making FC 26 a realistic football simulation, striving for the most authentic experience possible.
5. New Stadiums

FC 26 is significantly enhancing the game experience with more than 170 stadiums, featuring iconic venues from around the globe. Highlights include the Inter Miami Chase Stadium and the long-awaited return of the legendary Maradona Stadium, which wasn’t available in FC 25.
The game is getting a visual upgrade to make each playing field feel incredibly realistic – almost like you can feel the grass under your feet when you play.
6. Smarter AI Lineups in Career Mode

EA is really focusing on AI to make *FC 26* better than the last game. One key feature is that the Career Mode will now automatically choose the best players for your team, so you’ll spend less time managing menus and more time actually playing the game.
Focusing on your strongest players can help ensure you field a team perfectly prepared for the challenge. These players are likely performing at their best and may be less impacted by the changes to the stamina system.
7. Pro Clubs’ Integration Into Ultimate Teams

If you’re looking forward to competing in FC Pro Live Events, you’ll be happy to know you can now enter FC Pro tournaments directly from the Ultimate Teams menu. This new feature is expected to significantly boost competitive gaming in *FC 26*.
For players who consistently perform well in Division Rivals, being able to jump straight into matches from the main Ultimate Team screen is a great improvement. It’s a useful and appreciated change, and EA should be commended for adding features that players have been asking for.
8. New Playstyles and Player Roles

As we’ve previously discussed the improved goalkeeper AI in *FC 26*, we’re also introducing several new player archetypes designed to make your team more effective on the field. These include Precision Header, Aerial Fortress, Gamechanger, Inventive, and Enforcer, each adding a unique dimension to gameplay.
Different player roles, such as goalkeepers who are good with the ball at their feet and defensive midfielders who aggressively attack the box, will make games more complex and unpredictable. You’ll really need to be at your best to succeed!
9. Career Mode Manager Live Challenges

If you enjoy the behind-the-scenes aspects of football, *FC 26* offers a compelling Career Mode. It features realistic, ever-changing weekly and monthly objectives for your manager, creating a deeply engaging experience. Just like in real football, you’ll face challenges like navigating the Champions League knockout rounds, dealing with transfer deadlines, and making tough decisions to build a well-rounded team.
You can now track your achievements and unlock special rewards through the new Manager Live hub, making FC 26 a truly immersive football simulation for dedicated fans.
10. Ultimate Mode Challengers Weekend League

If you’re not happy with your position in Division Rivals, *FC 26* introduces a new way to climb the ranks. The Challengers Weekend League offers competitive matches for players who haven’t yet qualified for the main Champions division.
I’m so excited about this new update! It means more opportunities to play on the weekends, and it’s awesome they’ve removed the Playoffs requirement for Champions. It feels like a fresh start, a new way to climb the ranks, and I’m expecting a lot of new players as everyone figures out these new systems and tries to become a legend. It’s going to be fun watching everyone learn and grow!
11. Improved Archetype Customizations

Signature Playstyles will be popular with players who love to finely tune their created players in *FC 26*. These styles, combined with a range of Perks to improve player abilities and create strong team combinations, will let you build a dominant team and become a force to be reckoned with in every match.
12. Improved Clubs Experience

As a competitive gamer, I’m really excited about the new gameplay preset! Being able to join multiple clubs is a huge win. Plus, the live events they’re adding sound awesome, and I think the tweaks to Rush mode will make it even more fun.
Live Events now have different entry rules and updated gameplay for Rush mode. Plus, with a larger lobby size and the new Be-A-Goalkeeper System, Club Rush is shaping up to be one of the best parts of *FC 26*. Considering all the improvements EA is making, that’s high praise!
13. Live Gauntlets and Linked Events

Gauntlets is a fresh mode in Ultimate Team where you build a new team and play up to five matches. You won’t be knocked out for losing, but winning more games than you lose will get you bigger and better rewards!
If you enjoy creating powerful teams, you’re in for a treat! And with the addition of Linked Events, expect things to get really fast-paced and exciting.
The new competitions in Ultimate Teams will pair nicely with Gauntlets, challenging players to strategically use their teams to earn the best rewards. There’s even a chance to redeem yourself with a special stage if you don’t qualify for the next round right away.
It’s now easier than ever to follow your progress! A new Events Hub provides quick, one-click access to all the information you need.
That’s all for the new features coming in *FC 26*! We want to know which ones you’re most looking forward to, and what you’re planning to do once the game is released later this month.
