The Coastal Bonescape is a particularly unsettling area in Borderlands 4, filled with giant skeletons rising from the sand, spooky shacks, and plenty of hidden collectibles. You’ll find ECHO Logs here – recorded messages that reveal the history of Kairos as you explore.
Finding all the collectibles in the game takes some effort, but isn’t overly difficult. Each one usually requires a little bit of searching or completing a small task – it’s easy to miss them if you’re not paying attention. This guide will help! I’ll show you the location of every ECHO Log in Coastal Bonescape, so you can collect them all without wasting time running around the map.
All Coastal Bonescape ECHO Log Locations
The Coastal Bonescape has 20 collectibles in total, but this guide focuses on finding the ECHO Logs. You’ll discover these logs in various locations – on ridges, in shacks, and even at places connected to quests. Sometimes they’re just lying around, and other times you’ll have to defeat enemies to get them. I’ve detailed the exact location of each log to help you collect them all.
ECHO Log #1 | Near Vault Hunter’s Guide to Kairos
The first log is easy to find. From the Stockholm Silo, fly towards the ridge with the Vault Hunter’s Guide to Kairos. Look for a small shelter there. The log is right on top of a container nearby, so it should be easy to spot once you reach the area.
ECHO Log #2 | Giant Skull Kratch Nest
This task is a bit trickier. Go to the large skull in the middle of Coastal Bonescape. You’ll find a Kratch nest close by. Be warned: enemies will appear as soon as you get near, so prepare to fight! After defeating them, you can collect the ECHO Log. I recommend grabbing it quickly and getting back on your hoverbike to avoid more enemies.
ECHO Log #3 | Shack Near Harper’s Hideaway
To find the third log, head to Harper’s Hideaway farm. Continue towards the cliff overlooking the sea. You’ll see an old shack built on the edge – the ECHO Log is inside, sitting on a table. It’s a straightforward find, but the location has a really unique and memorable feel.
ECHO Log #4 | Flipped Yellow Boat on the Shoreline
Begin at the Crimson Resistance Headquarters and walk along the coastline to your left. After a brief walk, you’ll find an overturned yellow boat with a container of loot next to it. The ECHO Log you’re looking for is located close by.
ECHO Log #5 | Ole Shammy’s Bar
This is connected to the side quest “Ain’t No Sham in It.” Go to Ole Shammy’s bar, which is right below where you discovered ECHO Log #3. You’ll find your next ECHO Log on a table inside – it’s easy to get once you’re there.
Wrapping Up
We’ve now explored all the ECHO Logs currently available in Coastal Bonescape. These logs offer a richer understanding of Kairos and its past inhabitants. While there are 20 collectibles total in this area, completing these ECHO Logs is a fantastic first step towards finding them all.
Coastal Bonescape can feel a bit daunting, but collecting these logs will help you understand the story and give you a sense of accomplishment. Stay alert and keep your inventory space clear-you’re bound to find some valuable items.
