Sims 4 players have been consistently requesting that EA prioritize fixing problems in the core game instead of releasing new content. Recent expansion trailers have been flooded with comments asking the developers to address glitches and bugs. It seems EA has heard these concerns, and they now have a plan to thoroughly fix existing issues and work to prevent new ones from appearing.
The creators of *The Sims 4* recently shared a plan for the next few months, focusing on fixing bugs and improving the game. They’re releasing a Base Game Update on September 18th, earlier than planned, to ensure everything runs smoothly before the *Adventure Awaits* expansion pack comes out on October 2nd. After that, EA wants players to share what they think are the most important issues to fix in the October and November updates. Overall, this plan seems to be exactly what *The Sims 4* community has been hoping for.
The Sims 4 Promises Fixes & New Free Content For All
Okay, so the future still looks good for *The Sims 4*, but honestly, the update roadmap is a little light on exactly *what* they’re fixing each month. And it seems like that’s intentional! EA is letting us, the players, basically decide what gets fixed first. They’ve got a Bug Reports forum where we can vote on the glitches that bother us the most. So, what actually makes it into the October update – and future ones – will depend on what we all vote for. They want to tackle the biggest, most annoying bugs first, and they’re letting us help prioritize!
We’re still planning to release a detailed list of fixes – called the Laundry List – before the October and November updates. While many of the most requested fixes from the forums are already marked as resolved in previous updates, our team is still looking into a few things. These include random, unwanted emotional states appearing for your Sims, problems with how eyelids are displaying, and a few other glitches. If you’re running into a frustrating bug, please visit the EA Forums to search for and upvote existing reports. If you can’t find a report for your issue, feel free to create a new one!
The updates in September and October are mainly about fixing bugs, but November 4th promises to be a major release for *The Sims 4*. The update will include more bug fixes based on what players have been saying, and also some brand new, free content for everyone. Hopefully, this new content will run smoothly after several months of work improving *The Sims 4*.
The Quality of Life Roadmap for The Sims 4 extends to November 2025, but the team emphasizes that their work on the game won’t stop there. They’re asking players to continue sharing their thoughts and voting on important issues through the EA Forums. This feedback will directly influence future updates and improvements to the game. Overall, this is a welcome move towards more openness and, hopefully, fixing the long-standing bugs that have frustrated players for years. The first update will be available on PC starting September 18th, and on consoles from September 23rd.
