I’m really excited – the ninth season of *House of Games* is coming back to BBC soon, and we finally have the exact date! As a big fan, I’ve been waiting for this.
The show is coming back on Monday, September 29th at 6pm on BBC Two. New episodes will also air every weeknight for the rest of that week, from Tuesday to Friday, at the same time.
Each week, House of Games welcomes a fresh group of celebrities who battle it out to become the show’s champion. The last series aired in March.
Osman hosts this show where classic trivia meets fun challenges, like picture clues and word games. Each day, a winner receives a funny, themed prize, and points are added up all week, leading to a champion being named on Friday.
The new season kicks off with a fantastic lineup of celebrity guests, including author and comedian Mark Steel, comedian Melanie Bracewell, TV personality Jenny Powell, and actress Ruth Madeley.

With the new season starting in just 12 days, the celebrity contestants for the 2025 Christmas edition of Festive House of Games have been announced.
Osman first shared the news on Instagram in June, also letting fans know that filming for the holiday special had begun.
The line-up will consist of Rhys Darby, Joanna Page, Molly Rainford and Alex Brooker.
Osman shared a festive message from the team behind ‘House of Games,’ joking about the unpredictable nature of TV recording schedules and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
Richards Osman’s House of Games is available to watch on BBC Two and iPlayer.
