Many PS5 players have noticed the limited field of view in Borderlands 4, and Gearbox, the game developer, is responding to the feedback and working on a solution.
This news is a little outdated now, but it got overlooked during all the excitement surrounding the game’s release – and we apologize for missing it too!
The developer announced on social media that they’ve received player feedback about the Field of View (FOV) sliders on consoles.
We’re working on adding these customization options to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. We’ll keep listening to your feedback and use it to guide future updates, making sure you have the best possible experience. Thanks for your support!
If Gearbox can make it happen, it’ll be really interesting to see how they handle field-of-view adjustments.
It’s rare for console games to offer this level of customization. Adjusting the field of view (FOV) can be tricky, as it affects how the game displays the environment around you. Changing the FOV sometimes leads to performance problems or other technical issues.
Gearbox needs to thoroughly test things before allowing players to customize settings. However, their initial statements are encouraging.
I’m really hoping Borderlands 4 lets us adjust the field of view! I’ve always felt like the camera was a little *too* zoomed in during gameplay, and it’s something that really bothers me. Would love to be able to widen my view – what do you guys think? Let me know in the comments if you’ve had similar issues!
