IO Interactive hasn’t shared many updates about *Hitman World of Assassination Anniversary Edition* since it was first announced. However, according to reliable sources, the game is still expected to launch next month on October 17th.
This special edition of *World of Assassination* includes a physical disc (which needs an internet connection to play), plus all four DLC packs: *The Undying*, *The Splitter*, *The Banker*, and *The Drop*. It also comes with a commemorative lenticular card celebrating 25 years of the game series, all packaged inside a unique 3D Shadowbox designed like a chess set. The price hasn’t been announced yet, and IO Interactive hasn’t explained why some older titles aren’t included.
Players will be able to explore locations from all three games in the recent trilogy, as well as try out the Freelancer Mode, which offers a unique, replayable experience. The developer will share more official details soon.
You can play *Hitman World of Assassination* on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It’s also now available on the new Nintendo Switch 2 – you can read our review of that version here.
