Cardi B isn’t for the drama when it comes to her ex Offset.

Just over a year after starting divorce proceedings from the Migos rapper following their seven-year marriage, she’s now ready to move on and put that part of her life behind her.

Cardi B, 32, recently told Gayle King on CBS Mornings that she’s frustrated with people still linking her to her ex. She emphasized that she filed for divorce a year ago and has completely cut off contact with him. “I don’t deal with that, I don’t mess with that,” she stated.

As a huge fan, I know Cardi and Offset – Kiari Cephus – have three adorable kids: Kulture Kiari, who’s seven, Wave Set, three, and little Blossom, who’s just a year old. But Cardi’s been really open about the fact that she and Offset haven’t quite figured out this whole co-parenting thing yet, and honestly, it’s relatable to see them being real about it.

Cardi B, who is expecting her fourth child – her first with Stefon Diggs – believes parents should be able to openly communicate and share experiences about their children. She emphasized the importance of being able to discuss everyday moments and achievements, like a child’s actions or a report card. However, she’s realized that, ultimately, parenting isn’t solely *about* the children themselves.

The rapper, known for her song “Outside,” said she hopes he finds happiness as they go their separate ways.

She sighed, saying she wished he would change, but accepted that wasn’t likely. “Just try to be a good role model for your children,” she added.

As Cardi shared, after their split, she doesn’t “have hate” in her “heart anymore.”

Honestly, it just breaks my heart to hear her say he seems full of so much anger right now. She just wants him to heal, and I do too! She’s always been so mature about her relationships – she always stays friends with everyone she’s dated, and she believes that’s how it *should* be. Like, once it’s over, everyone just moves on with their life, and there shouldn’t be any bad feelings left. It’s like, his path, her path… separate lives, you know?

TopMob News has reached out to Offset’s reps for comment and has not heard back.

The rapper known as “Need It” had previously indicated he’d also moved on from his relationship with Cardi B, expressing this in his song “Move On.”

Offset explained to the Associated Press that his recent work is about finding peace and moving forward. He said the message is one of love and acceptance, and he intentionally concluded the album to signify the end of a previous phase in his life. He emphasized it’s time to move on, and that chapter is closed.

He said, “It was good while it lasted, but we shouldn’t dwell on it anymore. Let’s just consider that chapter closed.”

Cardi B and Offset’s daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born on July 10, 2018. She joined Offset’s other children – Jordan, Kody, and Kalea – from previous relationships. Cardi B has said that the members of the rap group Migos were the ones who picked out the baby’s name.

Cardi B revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that her partner chose their baby’s name, which she really likes. She decided to let him announce it because he came up with it, describing the reveal as a bit of a surprise that will be satisfying when it happens.

She announced on social media that they had separated, saying they simply drifted apart. While she’s unsure how long the divorce process will take, she’ll always care for him as he’s the father of their daughter.

Soon after Cardi B announced their breakup, Offset shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, which he later included on his first studio album, *Father of 4*.

He explained in a video that they’re facing a lot of public attention right now and that he wanted to sincerely apologize to Cardi. He admitted he caused her pain and acted inappropriately, and he was sorry for hurting her, breaking their vows, and failing to be a good husband.

Both she and her partner had work to do.
