With *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle* currently popular in theaters, it’s clear that anime compilation movies are a successful way to attract audiences. *Jujutsu Kaisen* recently proved this with its movie, *Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death*. Now, a new *Jujutsu Kaisen* movie, *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution*, is coming soon, continuing the story from season two and focusing on the Shibuya Incident Arc. Interestingly, the film will also include a preview of what’s coming in season three.
The new *Jujutsu Kaisen* movie, *JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution*, arrives in North American theaters on December 5th. It features a special compilation of the intense “Shibuya Incident” storyline, which fans consider the biggest battle in the series so far. The film also includes the first two episodes of the upcoming third season arc, “Culling Game Part 1,” giving viewers an early look before it streams in January 2026. By combining these linked storylines, the movie offers a unique experience designed for the big screen.
The Culling Game Arrives
The upcoming third season of *Jujutsu Kaisen* will focus on a storyline where Yuji Itadori faces off against Yuta Okkotsu. Yuta, a powerful sorcerer and the main character from the *JUJUTSU KAISEN 0* movie, has been tasked with eliminating Yuji. The season will showcase a long-awaited battle between the two students of Satoru Gojo.
Even though the *Jujutsu Kaisen* manga has finished, the anime isn’t ending yet! Considering what’s coming up for Yuji and his friends, we can expect at least a fourth season. And, like with the second season, viewers who haven’t read the manga should be prepared for some major character deaths when the third season premieres in January.
Although Gege Akutami finished the original *Jujutsu Kaisen* manga last year, he’s returned with a sequel series, *Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo*. This new story features fresh characters and takes place after the major events of the Shibuya Incident and Culling Game. Given how popular the first series was, an anime adaptation of *Modulo* is likely to happen in the future.
