Jam Out to This Update on the Cast of Camp Rock: Then and Now

This is real. This is exactly where these Disney Channel alums are supposed to be.

Disney+ is making a third *Camp Rock* movie! Filming began this week in Vancouver.

The third movie will feature a new group of stars – including Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Hudson Stone as Desi, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, and Ava Jean as Madison – but the original actors from the musical film aren’t being replaced and will still be involved.

Disney+ has confirmed that Demi Lovato, who starred as Mitchie in *Camp Rock* and *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam*, and the Jonas Brothers, who played the band Connect 3 in those movies, will also be executive producers on the new project.

Additionally, Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas-the Jonas Brothers-will make a quick appearance in the third movie. The film’s story begins with the Jonas Brothers losing their opening act for a big reunion tour, so they go back to Camp Rock to find new musical talent.

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato have been busy with more than just returning to the set of their new project. Recently, they also performed their hit song “This Is Real” from the 2008 movie together during a concert on the Jonas Brothers’ tour.

Disney hasn’t said whether Alyson Stoner, Meaghan Martin, and Jasmine Richards will be in *Camp Rock 3*. They haven’t confirmed or denied their involvement.

But don’t worry, you don’t have to wait long to see what the original cast is up to! Keep reading to find out where the stars of *Camp Rock* are now…

He was Shane Gray for crying out loud!

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always been fascinated by stars who truly embrace their roles – and Joe Jonas is a perfect example! He really came into his own playing the brooding rocker in *Camp Rock*, a character he clearly loves, and you can tell! He’s always playfully revisiting scenes from the movie for his fans, which is just so endearing and shows how much that role meant to him.

Everyone thought Joe would go solo after the group broke up in 2013, particularly since he’d already released a solo album before the split. However, he actually found fame with his band, DNCE, and their popular song, “Cake By the Ocean.”

Plus there was that whole Jonas Brothers rebirth.

Oh my god, Joe was SO lucky! Before he found his soulmate, Sophie Turner from *Game of Thrones*, he dated Taylor Swift AND Gigi Hadid! Can you believe it? It was back in 2016 when they started getting serious, and then, in October 2017, they announced they were getting MARRIED! It was destiny, I just knew it!

Okay, so after the Billboard Music Awards in 2019, Joe and Sophie totally shocked everyone – they ran off and got MARRIED in Vegas! It was so spontaneous and cute, but instead of actual rings, they swapped ring pops! Seriously, ring pops! It was the most them thing ever. But that wasn’t all! They followed it up with a *real* wedding, a beautiful one, in France. I mean, they had to have a proper celebration, right? It was all just…perfect!

The couple had two daughters, Willa, born in July 2020, and Delphine, who was born two years after that. They announced they were separating in 2023.

She told *Harper’s Bazaar* in 2024 that it was a very difficult time. “We had a wonderful connection, and it hurt when it ended,” she explained.

Demi Lovato became well-known playing Mitchie Torres, and then went on to star in her own Disney Channel show, *Sonny With a Chance*, for two seasons.

Demi’s career really blossomed after leaving the network, with popular songs like “Confident,” “Sorry, Not Sorry,” and “Cool for the Summer,” along with seven full albums. She also appeared as a judge on *The X Factor* and had roles on shows like *Glee* and *Will & Grace*.

The pop star got engaged to Max Ehrich in July 2020, but they broke up after just two months. She then began dating musician Jutes in August 2022, and they got married in May 2025.

Demi Lovato has openly discussed her struggles with mental health for the past ten years. In the 2021 documentary series, *Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil*, she detailed her life-threatening drug overdose in 2018.

Though the youngest brother played a smaller role as Nate Gray in two movies, Nick Jonas was the only one to pursue acting full-time. He’s known for his roles in the intense MMA drama *Kingdom* and the TV series *Scream Queens*. He also appeared in *Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle*, a major hit in 2017, and reprised his role in the 2019 sequel. In 2020, Nick added another role to his resume as a coach on NBC’s *The Voice*.

Nick continued to find success as a musician, releasing two solo albums. He even scored a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his single, “Jealous.”

In 2019, after The Jonas Brothers announced their reunion and released the popular song “Sucker,” Nick Jonas publicly accepted responsibility for the band’s split five years earlier in their documentary, *Chasing Happiness*.

He married actress Priyanka Chopra in a lavish, multi-day wedding celebration in India in December 2018. They welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022.

“Yeah man, this is where Connect 3…connected.”

The oldest Jonas brother played Jason Gray, a member of the popular band in the movie and a fan of Camp Rock. The brothers later starred in their own Disney Channel show, Jonas, for two seasons, all while continuing to record and release music as The Jonas Brothers.

After the band took a break in 2010, Kevin focused on his family with Danielle Jonas. They had two daughters, Alena Rose in 2014 and Valentina Angelina in 2016, and starred in the reality series *Married to Jonas*. Kevin also became an entrepreneur, starting JonasWerner, a real estate and construction company, and serving as CEO of The Blu Market Company. He even made a quick appearance on *The Real Housewives of New Jersey* as a contractor.

Following successful roles in films like *Step Up* and *Cheaper by the Dozen*, as well as appearances on *The Suite Life of Zack & Cody*, Alyson Stoner landed the part of Caitlyn Gellar, a young woman hoping to become a producer and dancer.

In addition to appearing in two sequels to *Step Up*, Alyson has done voice work for the *Kingdom Hearts* video games and still voices the character Isabella on Disney’s popular animated show *Phineas & Ferb*.

In 2018, Alyson wrote an essay for *Teen Vogue* about falling in love with their female dance teacher. They also released a song called “When It’s Right,” which was inspired by the relationship.

Speaking with TopMob News, they admitted coming out was initially frightening, but ultimately worthwhile. They explained it’s a liberating and exciting period, allowing them to truly be themselves.

In 2019, Alyson appeared with a shaved head in their music video “Stripped Bare.” They later shared their experiences with mental health challenges and recovery from an eating disorder.

As she shared with *People* magazine, “It felt like with every bit of hair that fell out, I was letting go of old worries, doubts, and insecurities, and I’m happy to leave them behind.”

Later that year, the group gained major attention at the MTV Video Music Awards with a fantastic performance of “Work It” alongside Missy Elliott. This collaboration was especially noteworthy because they had previously appeared in the music video for the song 17 years earlier.

In August 2025, Alyson released their memoir Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything.

Following her role as Tess Tyler in *Camp Rock*, Meaghan starred in *Mean Girls 2* and later played Bianca Stratford in the television series *10 Things I Hate About You*.

Besides appearing on shows like *Jessie, Melissa & Joey* and *House*, Meaghan had a recurring role on MTV’s *Awkward*. In 2019, she also made her first stage appearance in London with a production of *The Actor’s Nightmare*.

Meaghan married British actor Oli Higginson in September 2016.

Roshon Fegan first gained recognition playing dancer and rapper Sander Loyer in the *Camp Rock* movies. He then went on to star in the popular Disney Channel series *Shake It Up* alongside Zendaya and Bella Thorne for three seasons.

He appeared on *Dancing With the Stars* in 2012 and has since been a guest star on popular TV series like *Insecure*, *Crazy Ex-Girlfriend*, and *Greenleaf*.

Fegan started his own record label, Iconomous, and releases music under the name ROSHON.

Besides playing camper Ella Pador, Anna Maria is also remembered for her role as Ashley Dewitt on the popular show *Hannah Montana*. Following *Hannah Montana*, she appeared in guest roles on *Baby Daddy* and the *Charmed* reboot on The CW, and she starred in the 2011 Broadway revival of *Godspell*.

Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler married Scott Kline Jr. in 2019. Uzo Aduba, known for her role in *Orange Is the New Black*, was her maid of honor. They had a daughter, Amelia Grace, in June 2021.

Canadian rapper and actor, known for playing Barron James in the *Camp Rock* films, is now focusing on songwriting, producing, and choreography.

Jordan remained friends with Demi, posting a sweet Instagram tribute in December 2019.

He wrote that he’d known me for over ten years and always considered me a true and loyal friend to both him and his family. He finished by saying he’d always be there for me.

Aaryn, who played singer and dancer Lola Scott in the original *Camp Rock* movie, didn’t appear in the sequel, *Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam*, unlike most of the other actors.

After becoming known for her role in a Disney Channel Original Movie, the Canadian performer continues to work as an actress and singer, and she also has her own YouTube channel.

Jasmine Richards, a Canadian singer, played Margaret “Peggy” Dupree in both *Camp Rock* films. Before that, she was on the TV show *Naturally, Sadie*, and later she appeared in *Bomb Girls*.

Jasmine married Mike Caci in September 2018, and they had a son, Luke, in September 2021. She works as a content creator and manages social media.

The actor who played Brown Cesario, the camp owner, has since appeared in popular television series including *90210*, *Orphan Black*, *Reign*, *Atlanta*, and *House of the Dragon*. He previously starred alongside Rupert Grint (known from *Harry Potter*) in the TV series *Snatch*, becoming a regular cast member starting in the second season.

Daniel also appeared in Netflix’s 2017 movie A Christmas Prince and 2025’s The Last Supper.

Julie’s Dee La Duke helped mentor the campers as the musical director in both films.

She was a regular on the show *The Middle* for multiple seasons and made appearances in series like *Coffee House Chronicles*. She also starred in the 2023 TV movie *Craft Me a Romance* and contributed as a writer for the sitcom *Melissa & Joey*.
