I don’t usually get too bothered by evictions on *Big Brother*, because I know that’s just part of the game. But Rachel Reilly’s exit was so unusual, it’s stayed with me. While others have been eliminated in similar ways, Rachel’s felt different. She really brought a lot to Season 27 of *Big Brother*, and we noticed her absence immediately. It even made me wonder what the future holds for the show.
I’m still saddened by her departure, but I’ve been thinking about how we can learn from it. I don’t want it to just become another routine elimination on *Big Brother*. I believe we can use this as an opportunity to improve the show, and I have a specific idea for how to do that in a future season.
I Am Now Open To Another Big Brother: All Stars Season
I honestly didn’t think I’d ever want to see another season of *Big Brother: All-Stars*. I really disliked Season 22, also known as *Big Brother: All-Stars 2* – it’s actually one of my least favorite seasons of the show, and I’ve watched every single US season and spin-off! I loved the original *Big Brother: All-Stars* (Season 7), so when another all-stars season was announced, I was excited but also a little hesitant.
Bringing back former players hasn’t always worked well on *Big Brother*. While there have been some successful seasons – like Season 14, which was boosted by players like Dan Gheesling – more recent seasons, starting with Season 18 in both the US and Canada, have seen predictable outcomes. Typically, these returning players have received a lot of attention and stayed in the game for a long time, often dominating the competition.
The numbers show many players reach the final five and even further. I wasn’t sure Rachel would do as well, but I started to think she might. I usually believe new players should quickly eliminate returning players, but that changed this season of *Big Brother*. I was happy Rachel got as far as she did in the game.
Seeing her compete a third time made me realize I’d actually enjoy another season with returning all-stars. I didn’t think I’d ever want to watch that again, but now I’m hoping it happens!

And I Would Love To See Rachel Return For A Fourth Time
I was the houseguest who discovered the hints about Rachel coming back as the 17th player. I wasn’t thrilled when she returned, but I wasn’t really a fan or someone who disliked her either. She was a significant part of the show, but I didn’t have a personal connection to her. I also didn’t watch the live feeds during her seasons, so my understanding of her gameplay was limited to what was shown in the regular episodes of *Big Brother*.
I wasn’t a Rachel fan before, but after watching her play this season, I’ve become one! She’s really grown as both a person and a player. I usually think we see enough of any player after a couple of seasons, but I’d happily watch Rachel compete as long as the show continues.
She’s a perfect fit for *Big Brother* because she genuinely loves the game, is incredibly entertaining, and clearly plays with heart, determination, and compassion. We need more players like her – people who are truly invested in winning – and fewer who just seem to be going through the motions.
I appreciate players we bring in who are fun to watch or really enthusiastic, but I generally prefer those who already have a strong love for the game at the start of the season. Rachel especially showed me how enjoyable it is to see someone play with such passion and genuine love for the sport – it’s inspiring when their enthusiasm matches your own.

If It’s A Big Brother: All Stars Season, I Want It Shorter Than A Normal Season
During her exit interview, Rachel mentioned how difficult it was to commit over 80 days to the game. It seems many long-time players feel the same way – with careers, families, and other responsibilities, another season lasting 80 to 90 days just isn’t feasible for them right now.
I’ve noticed some of the houseguests really struggle with the intensity of *Big Brother*, which is tough to watch. It makes me think a shorter season might actually be a good thing – it could encourage a wider range of people to apply, honestly. And given the emotional toll it takes on some, I think it’s only right to offer a more substantial payout to those who really put themselves out there – especially if they’re selected as strong, key players.
It’s likely the contestants on *Celebrity Big Brother* receive better compensation than those on the regular seasons, so why not apply that same approach here? While I believe a 60-day season is the ideal length for *Big Brother*, I realize that might be too long for these particular houseguests. A season lasting between 30 and 45 days seems like a more realistic option.

I Want An Exciting Cast Full Of Some Of Big Brother’s Best Players
In the past, *Celebrity Big Brother* has been shown at the same time as the Winter Olympics (on NBC). Instead of another *Celebrity Big Brother* season this winter or during future Winter Olympics, why not have a shorter season of *Big Brother: All-Stars* or *Big Brother: All-Winners*? This would give popular, skilled players from past seasons a chance to compete.
Big Brother has seen many fantastic winners over the years. If they were to create a season featuring only past winners in 2026, they’d have 27 potential houseguests to choose from. While that might not sound like a huge number, it’s more than enough for a typical season of around ten players. An all-stars season would give them even more options, allowing them to select top competitors from all 27 seasons-and potentially from shows like Big Brother: Over the Top or other spin-offs, bringing the total to 28.
I believe they can easily recruit 10 to 12 top-tier players for a shortened season, as long as the pay is attractive.

I Would Hope That The Season Plays Traditional Big Brother
Many viewers of *Big Brother* were disappointed by Rachel’s elimination because it broke with how the game is usually played. Instead of being voted out by other players, she was removed due to a competition result, which didn’t allow her skills to determine her fate. I believe this was a mistake by the show, and I hope future all-star seasons return to the traditional format.
This would get rid of the BB Block Buster, having only three nominees instead of more, and eliminate any competitions where people are voted out. It would go back to a standard format with a Head of Household competition, a Veto competition, and just two or three people nominated for eviction each week. I also hope they avoid adding any unexpected twists to the game. Ideally, this season would be straightforward, letting the houseguests play naturally and seeing how things unfold. If they *do* want to shake things up, they could consider a twist based on the cast itself, like pairing up exes, showmances, rivals, or partners.
This change should please fans and lead to more exciting gameplay. It might also encourage players who didn’t want to risk early elimination, like Rachel did in the competition, to keep playing.
This simple format lets players demonstrate their strategy, social skills, and competitive spirit. It’s a great way to see the most exciting and skillful gameplay the show has to offer.
