FC 26 is bringing back Evolutions, and you can start using nine of them immediately, with more becoming available as the season progresses.
Evolutions are special items in the game that boost your players’ stats and can unlock new abilities, called PlayStyles, by completing challenges. These challenges usually have a short time limit – just a few days – but successfully completing an Evolution can significantly improve a player, turning them into a top performer and giving them a unique look.
Here are all the Evolutions available in FC 26 right now.
FC 26 Evolutions: Full list and the best players to use for them
Striker’s Rise
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 1 Week
The four-day ‘Training Camp’ Evolution significantly improves a player’s speed, shooting, passing, dribbling, and physical abilities, but it can only be used on silver-level players.
Joe Aribo from Southampton is a valuable addition because he can effectively become a highly-rated, versatile player – capable of playing as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, or striker.
The Debut
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 1 Week
This free upgrade for Goalkeepers gives them a +2 boost to positioning. It’s the first evolution specifically for Goalkeepers, and although it’s not a huge improvement, it can still make a player better.
Our recommendation is Napoli’s Alex Meret, helping him become an even better stopper.
Cover Athlete
- Cost: 30,000 Coins or 500 EA Points
- Timeframe: 1 Week
The initial Evolution you purchase unlocks the Relentless PlayStyle and the Playmaker+ trait for a Central Midfielder or Attacking Midfielder, and can also improve other skills.
This Evolution boosts Liverpool’s Hugo Ekitike to an 85 overall rating, but Matheus Cunha from Manchester United could be a more versatile pick. Cunha can play multiple positions – striker, central midfielder, left wing, or attacking midfielder – and gets improvements to his speed, passing, dribbling, and physical abilities.
Rising Guard
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 1 Week
This free upgrade increases a player’s defending ability by 1 point. While it’s a small boost, it’s particularly useful for players like Milos Kerkez of Liverpool or Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace.
Intro to Rewards Evos
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 12 Months
This upgrade comes in two stages. The first level boosts your shooting skills, while the second improves your passing and dribbling.
Khephren Thuram and Rayan Cherki are both excellent choices, but Joelinton is a player you shouldn’t overlook. The recent improvements to his stats make him a versatile midfielder, and he can also effectively play as a left midfielder or winger.
Intro to Training Camp Evos I
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 11 Months
Okay, so this Training Camp is all about turning my goalie into a Sweeper Keeper. It basically unlocks the skills they need to really dominate that position – you know, coming off their line, being proactive – and gives them a PlayStyle+ boost too. It’s awesome for building a well-rounded keeper!
Ultimately, it’s up to you, but we think Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario is a good option – he’s already shown he has the necessary skills.
Intro to Training Camp Evos II
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 11 Months
This new Training Camp Evolution focuses on the GameChanger PlayStyle. While Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha is a strong choice, consider any forward or winger you want to improve their shooting ability.
Intro to Evolutions
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 11 Months
The Tutorial Evolution is a good choice as it boosts gameplay speed, shooting accuracy, and a player’s general stats.
Gabriel Jesus has been recovering from an injury, but we still expect big things from him. He’s already a talented player, and we think any improvement in his abilities will lead to more goals for Arsenal.
Club Member Reward
- Cost: Free
- Timeframe: 12 Months
This free Evo is a useful upgrade for your attackers, boosting the abilities of Poachers, False Nines, Target Forwards, and Advanced Forwards.
Ayoze Perez of Villarreal is a solid option, but a clever tactic would be to use him to improve Mikel Merino’s ability to win headers for Arsenal.
