Eve Myles’s suspenseful series, The Crow Girl, is getting a second season! The show first appeared on Paramount Plus earlier this year and proved popular enough to warrant a return.
Myles will reprise her role as DCI Jeanette Kilburn, and Katherine Kelly, Clara Rugaard, and Victoria Hamilton are also returning for another season. The new cast will be revealed soon, and filming will begin in Bristol later this year.
The new season begins the morning after the dramatic events of the first, finding Detective Jeanette Kilburn recently divorced and unexpectedly sharing a bed with the mysterious Dr. Sophia Craven.
Jeanette’s investigation into the deaths of young male asylum seekers takes a disturbing turn when the discovery of a mummified body hidden in a church wall and a body frozen solid point to a sinister link.

As Jeanette investigates further, Sophia starts to believe Victoria Burkeman-a former patient with a history of murder and a reputation for being unpredictable-might be involved.
As the mystery deepens, Sophia begins to suspect Victoria knows more than she lets on. Meanwhile, Jeanette is forced to confront a frightening possibility: the killer might be someone she knows well.
Screenwriter and executive producer Milly Thomas expressed her excitement about continuing ‘The Crow Girl.’ She feels honored to share the stories of Jeanette, Sophia, and Victoria, and is looking forward to audiences seeing what she and the teams at Buccaneer Media and Paramount+ have made together.
Sebastian Cardwell, a leader at Paramount+ in the UK, expressed his excitement about continuing to work with Buccaneer on the series, The Crow Girl.
Wow, season one really grabbed me! The storytelling was so fresh and daring, and the acting was phenomenal. I’m already on the edge of my seat wondering where they’ll take things in the next season – bring it on!
Myles has had a very active year, appearing in three popular TV series: The Guest, The Hack, and Coldwater, all broadcast on the BBC and ITV.
