It’s great to see so many Dragon Quest games being released! While we’re excited about the Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake coming later this year, we’re especially looking forward to Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined.
Even though the original Persona on PlayStation 1 is quite lengthy, it’s still a standout JRPG on a console already full of great ones. It’s a game that people either love or hate, but we absolutely adore its unique art style, which features characters designed to look like dolls – a creative take on Akira Toriyama’s famous designs.
At today’s Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix presented nearly 20 minutes of gameplay footage.

The game is visually stunning – the world map feels like a beautiful, miniature model come to life, and the combat is full of personality.
The publisher also talked a little about its controversial decision to “streamline” the game.
The developers streamlined the campaign by removing repetitive parts, which makes for a smoother and less frustrating experience. We think this is a positive change.
Check out this new look at Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined! With the game coming out on February 5th, it’s almost here. Are you planning on pre-ordering it?
