At Minecraft LIVE in September 2025, a collaboration with Dragon Ball Z was hinted at, and fans were thrilled!
Minecraft Bedrock players have a chance to snag a free Super Saiyan Hair Character Creator item for a limited time! You can claim this Dragon Ball Z-inspired hairstyle for free until November 4, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific Time. After that date, it will only be available for purchase.
We’ll share more information about the upcoming Minecraft and Dragon Ball Z collaboration as soon as it’s available. The team at Windows Central will be watching for further announcements.
Minecraft has been doing collabs with several different franchises, and I’m excited for that to continue
Minecraft has teamed up with popular franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Super Mario, and Hello Kitty over the past few years. These collaborations add extra enjoyment to the game by introducing new items and content.
Minecraft remains incredibly popular worldwide, so it’s no surprise to see new collaborations announced. The recent partnership with Dragon Ball Z was unexpected, but it’s exciting news for fans and is scheduled to launch later this year.
We haven’t seen all the details of the upcoming Dragon Ball Z content yet, but it appears there will be some exciting character skins, like Goku with his classic outfit and spiky hair.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the game includes fun emotes based on classic Dragon Ball Z poses, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’s the case.

Whenever a game has a cool collaboration, it always gets me thinking about what other partnerships could be fun. That got me daydreaming about potential future collaborations for Minecraft.
Now that Microsoft owns Minecraft through Mojang Studios, it’d be great to see characters from other Xbox games – like Spyro the Dragon, World of Warcraft, or Fallout – appear in Minecraft.
I’m really excited about the idea of playing as The Ghoul with my Dogmeat by my side, fighting off enemies like Creepers and Zombies.
You might be surprised to learn there’s already a Minecraft pack featuring Master Chief, and back in the Xbox 360 days, they even released a Banjo-Kazooie skin pack. This shows that pretty much anything can happen with Minecraft!
We’ll need to wait and find out what the new Minecraft x Dragon Ball Z DLC offers, and imagine what other popular franchises might be added to the game in the future.
Just a quick reminder for Bedrock Edition players: be sure to grab the free Super Saiyan Hair Character Creator item before November 4th at 10am PT! After that, it will only be available for purchase.
Enjoy digging, building, and all the other cool new features shown off at the recent Minecraft LIVE event!
