The social sandbox MMORPG Pax Dei is officially launching on PC on October 16th. You’ll be able to find it on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. Publisher New Tales and developer Mainframe Industries made the announcement, and also confirmed that the game will be available through Game Pass.
Pax Dei first launched in Early Access on June 18, 2024.
We’ve really benefited from the feedback of our Early Access players as we’ve been developing the game,” said Sulka Haro, chief product officer at Mainframe Industries, in a press release. “We’ve always imagined Pax Dei as a world that feels alive and is shaped by the people who play it. Now, as we start this next phase, we’re excited to welcome everyone to what truly feels like the beginning of Pax Dei.”

Social Sandbox MMO
Pax Dei 1.0 is a large-scale online multiplayer game where players can freely interact and create their own experiences. It’s a sprawling, open world where thousands of players can team up, set their own objectives, and forge their own narratives. Players can choose to live a quiet life in the starting areas, building homes and gathering resources, or venture into the wilds and dangerous dungeons for rewards and adventure. Whether you prefer peaceful commerce or exciting player-versus-player combat and clan rivalries, Pax Dei offers something for everyone, inviting you to join the community and contribute to the unfolding stories.
Pax Dei 1.0 is improved thanks to all the updates players experienced during Early Access – things like Adventure Sites, the ability to trade with other players, Grace and Miracles, and a completely reworked RPG system. The newest update, Verse 4: Raiders of Lyonesse, added a larger area for player-versus-player combat, and it includes special resources needed for Enchanting, which is a brand new crafting skill.
Pax Dei is constantly evolving! Even after the 1.0 release, we’ll keep adding new content – some of it is already being worked on. This winter, with Verse 5, players can battle for control of Feudal Shrines – key locations for Clans. Then, Verse 6 will introduce Feudal Alliances, allowing Clans to team up for both conflict and cooperation. Our plans for 2026 include expanding other game features, beginning with improvements to Grace and the overall economy.
Pax Dei 1.0 Release Details
So, good news for us! Pax Dei 1.0 is launching on PC Game Pass the same day it officially releases! We’ve already been able to play it through Steam and the Epic Games Store during Early Access, but this is awesome. And if you prefer streaming, you can also jump in via GeForce Now. I’m really excited to finally get the full version!
Pax Dei includes full game access, letting you create up to two characters. You’ll also get a free month of Premium Membership, which gives you one plot of land, a month of Premium Status, and one Plot Token.
You don’t need a Premium Membership to enjoy Pax Dei-it’s completely optional! It simply offers extra perks, like faster Grace and XP gains, and lets you reserve a place in the game world to build your house. Premium Membership is available starting at $3.99 / £2.99 each month.
In addition to the main game, players who participated in Early Access will get special benefits depending on which Founder’s Pack they bought. These benefits include Plot Tokens, a period of Premium Status (lasting months), additional Character Slots, extra Grace, and unique items for customizing their characters.
To show appreciation for the community’s support of Pax Dei throughout Early Access, Mainframe Industries revealed some additional gifts. With the release of Pax Dei 1.0, those who supported the game as Founders will receive:
- Head Start Access to the game on October 14 (two days before the official release)
- A bonus copy of Pax Dei to gift to a friend (available until November 16, 2025)
