Hinako’s storage space is initially limited, but you can expand it up to six times. You’ll find special items hidden throughout the game world to do this. Each item you discover will increase her inventory size, and these items are available in both standard playthroughs and New Game+.
As a player who’s spent a lot of time with Silent Hill f, I’ve put together this guide. It details where to find every single upgrade that increases how much stuff I can carry – and trust me, you’ll need to play through the game a few times to get them all!
Shoulder Bag
A lightweight and durable bag.
In Ebisugaoka, while heading to Rinko’s house, atop a large crate in a dead end.
School Bag
My school bag is a bit worn out for some reason, but it’s fine for carrying small things.
Within Suga Yosie’s locker on Ebisugaoka Middle School – 1st Floor. The combination is 505.
Dirty Drawstring Bag
The bag is made of cloth and closes with a drawstring. It has red and black marks all over it and feels a little sticky, but could still be useful.
So, I was heading towards the last Ritual Chamber, and I came across this huge room with totally busted floorboards. I had to walk all the way around the broken bits to find a chest of drawers – it was right near the door, thankfully. It was a bit of a detour, but worth it!
Furoshiki
Ancient wisdom passed down by our ancestors. Used to wrap things up and carry them around.
Good thing I always prefer function over fashion.
On a small table to the right as you walk into the kitchen of Shimizu Residence III.
The remaining two inventory slot upgrades are exclusive to New Game Plus.
Packing Tips
A book by a well-known expert on how to carry large amounts of supplies.
In Ebisugaoka, go to the new building located far to the east, past the first save point. Go upstairs and enter the only room you can access to find the Balcony Key. Go outside onto the balcony and use the key to open the nearby door. Once inside, check the table on the left side of the balcony door for a box.
Embroidered Drawstring Bag
This drawstring bag is beautifully made with embroidery and high-quality materials, both in the fabric and the design. Because of this, it’s best to keep it clean when you store your things.
Continue heading north-west through the Corridors until you come across a door that has recently opened. Then, examine the shelves located at the far left side of the back wall.
Those are all 6 of the inventory capacity upgrades to be discovered in Silent Hill f.
