Family Guy will return to Hulu this October with a new Halloween special, and the first trailer is now available. While a new season on Fox isn’t expected until next year, fans can still enjoy fresh episodes throughout the rest of the year. This includes two holiday specials exclusively on Hulu, continuing the tradition from last year with Halloween and Christmas themes. This upcoming adventure already looks suitably creepy.
Family Guy just released the first trailer for its new Halloween special, and it looks like they’re going all-out this year. Last year’s special featured some famous guest stars and even brought Rupert to life, but this year’s seems to be a Halloween-themed adventure for the whole Family Guy cast. That’s a shift from the Stewie-focused story we saw last year. You can see more in the trailer video below.
What to Know for Family Guy Halloween Special 2025
Titled “A Little Fight Music,” Family Guy’s new Halloween special will be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ starting October 6th. Hulu has given a preview of what to expect: “Brian and Stewie discover there aren’t enough good Halloween songs, so they try to write one, while Peter and his friends learn that being dishonest about trick-or-treating can be dangerous.” The trailer shows both of these storylines, including one where a group of chainsaw-wielding killers-similar to Ghostface-terrorize the town.
This marks the first of two brand new holiday episodes that Family Guy is debuting only on Hulu. While full details about the second episode are still coming, it’s already been announced as a Christmas special, expected to arrive closer to December. When these episodes premiere on Hulu, you’ll find them under the “Exclusives” section for the show – they won’t be part of the regular seasons. This is also where you can locate the two holiday specials that were released last year.
When Does Family Guy Season 24 Come Out?
Family Guy is set to continue for years to come! Season 24 is planned to arrive around 2026. Recently, the show was renewed along with other popular animated series from Fox, like The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers, for four additional seasons each. Family Guy will probably air as part of Fox’s midseason lineup, debuting alongside the returning American Dad! after it moved from TBS (and was also renewed by Fox for four more seasons).
The change in Family Guy‘s schedule probably indicates that future seasons will be significantly shorter than previous ones, and we’ve already noticed this with the recently released Season 23. However, it appears Family Guy is compensating for these shorter seasons with new, exclusive specials on Hulu. The question now is whether this strategy will be successful over time.
