MAFS UK’s Anita and Paul clash as they dig deeper into their relationship after fallout

Things are still difficult for Married at First Sight UK couple Anita and Paul. They’re trying to make their relationship work, even though Anita initially chose to leave the show at the first commitment ceremony.

Anita and Paul’s honeymoon didn’t begin smoothly; Anita was concerned that the 60-year-old was hiding his real emotions behind jokes. Things became even more difficult for the bride when they came back to the UK and started living together as part of the experiment. She worried his humour was a way to disguise his true feelings, and this continued after their return.

The two kept to themselves, and Anita questioned Paul about whether he recalled her children’s names. When he couldn’t, she was clearly displeased.

In the preview, Paul questions Anita about her commitment to their marriage, asking if she’ll dedicate enough time to it. However, they argue, and Anita replies: “How long is a piece of string? I don’t feel rushed; I simply need to understand the direction of our relationship.”

“What’s on your mind, what you want out of it, whether you’re fully committed.”

This isn’t the first disagreement the couple has had about how they see love. Paul consistently struggles to respond when Anita questions him about it.

Anita and Paul were the final couple paired up, with Anita feeling optimistic and willing to try at love again, specifically hoping to find someone mature and distinguished – a silver fox.

Paul has been single since his divorce in 2011. He’s tried using dating apps, but hasn’t been able to move past the first date with anyone yet.

Will the couple be able to make things work?
